icewindo 29 Posted December 21, 2007 edit: problem solved, works only by using the shortcut.
BraTTy 0 Posted December 21, 2007 I had same problem. Quote[/b] ]Be sure that your shortcut target field is correct: "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\beta\arma.exe" -mod=beta -window For example. And also that the Start In field points to the ArmA root folder: "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA" Planck Thank you Planck !

ModaFlanker 0 Posted December 22, 2007 The LONG patch log is very heartening to see. It HAS taken a long time, but it is clear you guys have been working real hard on this patch. I am much more likely to buy ArmA 2, seeing your dedication to this game.

december 0 Posted December 22, 2007 It won't start for me. After installing the patch successfully I get "Addon CA_Hotfix requires version 1.09 of application" I started with shortcut -mod=beta. Any ideas what's wrong? Found the answer in the problem thread.
PuFu 4600 Posted December 22, 2007 happy holidays BIS for releasing 1.09 been waiting for it since 1.08 was moved it to the feedback thread...
Shadow_Spyder 0 Posted December 22, 2007 Well, mines is broked. If I try launching from the shortcut that came with the beta, I get an error that says Quote[/b] ]This application has failed to start because IFC22.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. I can see that IFC22.dll in my arma directory too.. so I dunno why it cant find it. I launch from the arma launcher with the beta in the launcher and it will say something about some .pbos need 1.09 to work, and when I get in-game, it still says I am using 1.08 in the bottom left. Have already tried re-installing the update and its still a no-go. Any ideas?
dslyecxi 23 Posted December 22, 2007 2. wtf is with the freaking AT launcher recoils...i have a higher recoil if i fire rocks from my sling... Does AT recoil really matter, though? There are no rapid-fire AT weapons, so the recoil is pretty much a moot issue.

There are no rapid-fire AT weapons, so the recoil is pretty much a moot issue. it does for me..it not really about the gameplay, but about the feeling ure shooting a rocket rather than a bullet. because as it is now, the recoil is the same for both = nill. don't get me wrong, i like that the patch, even in beta is proper good. even tho i haven't played it enough to figure out all the differences, but if there is a beta, then why don't i give some feedback so maybe it arma will feel like a finished product for once. Big Dawg KS 6 Posted December 22, 2007 Seems I'm the only one who had the patch introduce a fog bug rather than remove one... crap.

AzzurF 0 Posted December 22, 2007 Oh my goodness ... I spent 3 hours playing around with that 10 000 m viewdistance ... Fantastic. Amazing. Fun! Flying with smooth framerate, quite smooth even on the ground, in the forests and towns. Even with Fraps recording. Thank you BIS for this Christmas present!
