Makes me wonder wether i want to play on low or high... both have their good / down sides
Coffin Joe 0 Posted November 11, 2006 Awesome pics. Biplanes are nice. And his hand is on a crank for aiming right? And if so does he animate when you aim?
CameronMcDonald 146 Posted November 11, 2006 Yeah, one uses that handle for elevating the weapon. As for the animation... doubtful. I wouldn't be disappointed if he didn't move.

bravo 6 0 Posted November 11, 2006 Yeah, one uses that handle for elevating the weapon. As for the animation... doubtful. I wouldn't be disappointed if he didn't move. we have finger trigger animation don't we, so why not? hum.. why do i have the feeling that DeadMeatXM2 will come to reply my post? RedStorm 0 Posted November 11, 2006 If it were true he really moved his arms with the mounted gun he's holding, that'd be a breakthrough. Yet, I wouldn't count on it at all, people. Remeber that video that was posted a few months ago of the Blackhawk gunner? He had his hands on the trigger guard, yet when the gun was moved it was the same old OFP "magic ghost M134 minigun". CameronMcDonald 146 Posted November 11, 2006 I only said doubtful, though it would mean there would have to be a system of animating only when looking around, which would be novel. @Redstorm - sexactly.

Yeah I was just wondering because it's placed on there quite nicely, it looks right, unlike the steering wheel hands of OFP. It just looks like it could easily move with it. I wouldn't be disappointed eather but if they did animate...

Makes me wonder wether i want to play on low or high... both have their good / down sides This is the same with OFP, if you run the standard islands with default textures it's easier to spot soldiers. Try the high res Malden or Everon etc and soldiers blend into the ground texture far better then the low res textures.

Goeth 0 Posted November 11, 2006 The guy at left is seen/noticed easier on low settings. Makes me wonder wether i want to play on low or high... both have their good / down sides I´m not going to sacrifice image quality just because i could spot the enemy easier with crap settings. xnodunitx 0 Posted November 11, 2006 Is the blur or depth of vision a product of HDR? Its a product of the camera effect. There is alittle something I am curious about, wether or not the turret of a tank can move if the driver is turned out of if it is as it was in OFP.
drakaan 0 Posted November 11, 2006 I´m not going to sacrifice image quality just because i could spot the enemy easier with crap settings. couldn't agree more brother, alot of people in CTF are doing that at the moment so they can see the enemy easier. Although its not a cheat, it aint really fair and it is sacrificing part of what the game is all about, graphics.......
ziiip 1 Posted November 11, 2006 So, are magazines removed when reloading?
xnodunitx 0 Posted November 11, 2006 Looks like it from the shadow in one of the recent videos, and yeah I agree about the graphic thing,if I have the ability to run the game on high detail then I'm damn well going to,even if it means seeing the enemy is harder,it makes it that much more realistic for me. Hear, hear! I personally get the impression that people turning their graphics down so they can "pwn" more do not get what OFP/ArmA is about and need to play different types of games. xnodunitx 0 Posted November 11, 2006 The funnier part is that most of them were complaining about graphics in the first place.
Vikingo 0 Posted November 11, 2006 Tell me you can rotate that HMG on that Russian tank. I think is a BIG YES !!! and you also can use it... -ouch- now the only thing I want to know about T-72 if you can TURN-OUT in driver position... in that outstanding pic from Ian you can see commnader+gunner turned out... I wonder if you can also drive the tank with your head up or if that was removed.... to the ones that already owns the game...
xnodunitx 0 Posted November 11, 2006 This is simply assumption but Driver should be able to turn out,it was in OFP,it was in OFP:E,they added another position for a cargo person or the gunner to turn out,it would be very odd to not have the driver turn out,as for the driving part...wha? Tanks in OFP and OFP:E could be driven if the driver was turned out.
Zeinger 0 Posted November 11, 2006 I have simply ONE question : Can you shoot from a vehicle being  a passenger ?
archsceptic 21 Posted November 11, 2006 Thanks for the pics, they really wet the appetite!!! But all the pics so far have been bright and sunny, how about some overcast or rainy pics? please! Also can somebody that's played the game confirm the behaviour of AI vehicles, please, please tell me they dont do a dance when they see the enemy, please tell me the tanks dont do a eight point turn on the spot when they see danger - I'd love it if you told me when they meet superior forces they reverse out of trouble to find cover, firing as they go...
