(Btw, anyone looked at the games 505 games published? Some are ok, but others are ridiculous, a game about paparazzi? street golfer? )

As i understand they published the Energy Airforce (Jet Simulation) Series on PS2 for PAL. That's not bad at all. (me currently playing the 360 successor Over G Fighters)

Who knows they will think of a console version of ArmA hahaha. I then hope they choose wisely and go for PocketArmA (on PSP, always take your ArmA with you;)

The bad thing about this is that they miss the xmas sales. Also I hope the other countries will release with english language.

If BIS play it right, they could get a 'double-pay' from me. I will buy the downloadable version next month, and then the boxed version when it comes out in the UK next year, if that is how it will happen...

Looking at my shelf of games, since just before 05' when the talk of a "OFP sequel" came out I've spent some coin passing the time.

I remember x3 being released by egosoft. if my memory is correct (and it usually is a bit suspect) they had similar problem with different regoins getting different release times. they sort of solved it by accepting pre-orders on their website and then posting the pre-orders out to arrive at the same time the first box sets were available in Germany. that's how i got my copy a few weeks (or was it months?) before the rest of the southern hemisphere.

this worked well for them and they had a lot of guaranteed sales and quick money in THEIR POCKETS before the game was even released! and they minimised overhead costs which increased their profitsss even further.

the same potential exists here.

there are people here getting cross/frustrated because they want to hand their money over as soon as possible for the game. hello? This is a MONEY making opportunity for BIS and for their region specific distrubutors! This product is in demand.

BIS' online distrubution option (details still to be announced) COULD a great way to get cash flowing in and make customers happy. Pre-order and post is another option.

Yea, I wonder about that too... A game like Hitman is solely a danish produced game... But you don't see a danish version anywhere.

If there was a Danish version, I wouldn't buy it though . We already know that the Czech version of ArmA will have English sounds. But will the text be interchangable?

That is quite depressing seeing the english version being released IN 2007! Let me remind you that this game was scheduled for late 2005, now 2007? Whats the G-O? I also emailed JJ from Idea games concerning the language of the Czech version, and if it will have a English version aswell as a Czech languaged version going on sale.

I dont blame BI i blame codemasters for not publicsing OFP so it was a bigger hit, which probely in turn would mean better publishers for ArmAssault.

I'm glad we finally got ourselves a European publisher. Too bad its in q1 2007 but that date does not surprise me since the publisher has alot of work cut out for him; marketing, logistics, production, etc.. There is no way they can finish all that in just a month. Just as I predicted before, most of us will be stuck with the online download option for a while. Me, I'll wait.

if the download comes in english, i'll just get that. -- i doubt i'll read the manual, and i expect it'll come in pdf in the download anyhow.

going to back up the game to 2 cd's if i buy it or download it, so it really makes no diffrence.

that said, yes its a bit of a shame that its 2007 for the shops in europe, but just look at it as a way to pull more players into the scene a few months after the die-hard fans get the game. its good for the community in the long run. If your crazy enough anouth the game to wait this long and a perfectionist enough to want the proper box and manual, either wait, or buy it twice. :-)

So, that leaves two options on the table. Either it will be modified to english by the community, or maybe the online distribution version will be in english. Or else.. learn czech or wait for Q1 07
