OFP2 and "armed assault" - what's up?

Wahhah i knew something was coming!!

It looks alot like VBS based models and stuff, the shadows look much better though, from the screens i saw with the old buildings and other stuff im starting to think the game will deliver not only a whole new conflict with its theme and campaign but also a rebuild CWC with the new, updated graphics engine and stuff, this would be better than perfect, to have OPF CWC rebuilt completely has a part of the new OPF2, am i right?

One thing i noticed is that the animations, just like in some VBS movies i saw recently are very similar, if not identical to Dreamy Knights , doesnt BIS own a mo cap studio or something?

Looks decent for early stuff but i expect to see detailed pics in the future and also to see it in motion (gameplay movies) and to read what the game is about and the improvements over the first one gameplay wise .

Well maybe someone should start a new thread to help BIS come up with a better name than Armed Assault. That sounds like some kind of a crime game where you play as a bank robber or something, not a war simulator on as grand a scale as OFP.

Since OFP2 is probably going to be centered on the kind of regional conflict that is widespread today, maybe something along those lines.

I agree Armed Assault sounds weird and kinda cheap, its problably just a working tittle . I hope they come up with something betterand more fitting to the game..

One can go crazy drawing parallels to it and the present wars and *cough* freedom bringing everywhere .... that would make the game sound political and tacky.
