Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted March 13, 2004 Quote[/b] ]12 March 2004Ballistic Addons Studio BAS SITE TEMPORARILY OFFLINE DUE TO BANDWIDTH LIMITATIONS Ballistic Addons Studio (BAS) regrets to announce that due to bandwidth limitations the BAS web site is temporarily unavailable. Due to the popularity of "BAS Week", the volume of 'page views' alone has caused the site to smash through its monthly bandwidth allowance of 80 Gb! This is in spite of the fact that no downloads are available directly from the BAS site at present, and instead are (very kindly) hosted on sites participating in the event. Despite this temporary challenge, the BAS team is continuing to work on the remaining releases, and will endeavour to keep participating news sites updated as to any developments and downloads. For players wishing to send us comments or feedback we would ask that you use the forums of participating sites, which we will continue to monitor. The whole team at BAS hopes the community will understand and bear with us during this temporary situation, and as always, we thank for your continued support. For further information please contact: Tigershark - tigershark@ballistic-studios.com Fer - fer@ballistic-studios.com I would almost start laughing over this, but it's not really that funny. I guess you guys got a bit too popular
Blink Dog 0 Posted March 14, 2004 It's easy to exceed bandwidth nowadays. On the ONS site we had 96 gb due to Sigma-6s' Yank tank pack. Web hosts will hopefully start to catch up soon to what people really need.

Web hosts will hopefully start to catch up soon to what people really need. Ordinarily I'd agree with you....but we went through 80Gb in just page views. We didn't have any packs or addons for download from our site. I think it was people hitting refresh every 5 minutes to see if addons had been released

Tigershark_BAS 0 Posted March 15, 2004 Haha and still plenty were having a go at saying BAS week failed  We are still working our asses off to get the LB's done. Spent all weekend beta testing them in MP. And yesterday saw the first of some new textures. Won't be long now lads. Thanks for your patience. Actually..this weekend was very productive for BAS on lots of different levels. I might post some ongoing work (SEALs) pics during this week. We are also going to mirror our site (thanks to NedFox) on another server in case this bandwidth error comes back and bites us in the ass again.
frk19732001 0 Posted March 15, 2004 that's great to ear TS i'm very impressed on the fact that you guys are spending so much time working for nothing just for the pride of making us the community happy with state of the art addons so thanks for your work and dedication guys and keep making us happy a very thankfull customer
@cero 0 Posted March 15, 2004 That meens that if you release something soon, is going to be really good again, and its going to make me drift from mission making? Damm you BAS, you allways do the same to me, I will never be a decent mission maker. LOL, just kiding. I can't wayt to see some new stuff from you guys. BTW, when the site is back up, will the "Bug report page" work aswell? I would like to know if somebody reported something I noticed in the JAM2 readme. Thanks. @CERO. MLF 0 Posted April 7, 2004 aha ur sites back up, good o hear, id love to know if you had any addon pics we could see, not asking, not demanding just wondering if we gonna see any pics fairly soon?
ag_smith 0 Posted April 7, 2004 You know, instead of making them answer your question, maybe we'll just let them work. I'd really appreciate one released addon more than thousand of pictures of their upcoming work. :P (No offence meant, though.)

the_shadow 0 Posted April 20, 2004 is there any chanse that BAS (wh makes the best choppers around) will make some UH1 hueys? those choppers are really cool i must say...
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted April 20, 2004 They did (pretty much), the ones in the SEB Nam pack are made by BAS members.
the_shadow 0 Posted April 20, 2004 ok, might we hope for an update of these then? would love a UH1 with all the "new" BAS effects i think, since these are still used by the USN (and i guess sometimes by the SEALS?) it would be a good thing to make.
norsu 180 Posted April 20, 2004 In case you want a single UH-1 from Nam Pack 2, http://ofp.gamezone.cz/index.php?showthis=2507 It's black though and has M60.

ruff 102 Posted April 21, 2004 is it possible to to put the cas scripts on the apaches? and if u guys decide to, plz dont let it get targeted by ai soldiers
MLF 0 Posted April 21, 2004 i was wondering if you could wrangle it if that when AA versions of the rpg in the jam 2 pack target and fire at a helo that the countermeasures don't go off ??
m21man 0 Posted April 21, 2004 Quote[/b] ]you've never seen "liar-liar" I guess? "Hey Fletcher, how's it hanging?" "Short, shriveled, and always to the left." Quote[/b] ]and if u guys decide to, plz dont let it get targeted by ai soldiers Or you could consider the radical idea of knocking out enemy AA guns before you call in air support. Just a thought... Quote[/b] ]would love a UH1 with all the "new" BAS effects Then make one yourself. You already have nice UH1 models from the SEB Nam pack, now all you have to do is add the scripts.
