Contact Expansion Feedback

Love the shotguns, wish we got a few more for the basic factions, both standalone, and underbarrel.

To devs or anyone who knows:  Will the Contact campaign support Co-op mode??

I hope it does as the experience could get a lot better if you could play it with a friend...

I just pre-ordered this DLC, btw. I've been a fan of Bohemia and the Arma franchise since Operation Flashpoint was released. I'm a big fan of milsim and Arma has given me with the most realistic game experiences which is something I truly appreciate, and now I'm looking forward to a realistic and immersive "first contact" game experience... but please make it co-op... lol

Unfortunately not. In the very beginning of the project we wanted to make it co-op, but we are doing so many 'slightly crazy' things with the technology that full multiplayer-compatibility became a casualty. Another reason being that we wanted also to tell a story, which is much harder in any co-op game (people have their own pacing and perspectives for example). We then focused on making the campaign a very cool and atmospheric singleplayer experience.

That was the right thing to do. There are enough multiplayer missions/game modes already.

That's an understatement.

 

Not to mention that nobody wants a repeat of the Apex campaign mistake.

Just watched  official video... fantastic job on non earth based* sounds.. good job team Contact hopefully there will be some track as swell.

  1. Hey, I wouldn't say no to a professionally designed and extensive multi-level co-op campaign whereas most of the co-op missions that aren't CTI modes (CTI is literally ALL I play save for the occasional campaign or Ravage [back in the day]) are just quick one-and-done campaigns. More often than not, they lack quality voice acting or voice acting at all, where the goal is just "blow up the explosives cache" or "take out a town full of terrorists and assassinate their commanding officer". So yeah, I'm game for BIS campaigns or campaigns from folks like the person(s) who made Callsign Minotaur that can be played cooperatively.
  2. "Apex campaign mistake"? No idea what you're talking about; I actually enjoy Apex and I consider no part of it to be a mistake (what's the mistake you're referring to, and I'll take any answer but a no-effort "the whole thing. lololololol 1337".). When I actually have people to play it with it's great fun.

There is a skilled mission  MP (PVP) maker?

to Replace "Endgame Feres 32"  with light recon nato men  and  spestnaz instead Csat! very funny

to Replace "zeus 32+2 control Edessa" in the same manner!

Since I don't know which thread suggestions can go, I will make a post here. 

 

Please reconsider Spetsnaz (and any other spec ops forces in the base game currently) being virtually armorless. They die way too easy. Recombination of existing assets would provide new assets without having to dedicate too much time for professionals like you guys at BI. Kipchak vest with plate template for AAF or new modular armor can provide decent looking armor that is unique for example.

you make the Mission only spec ops and solve the problem.
TBH the "tier 14000"  has break the balls, isn't funny anymore

Add smoke grenades with the black smoke for a spetsnaz like at this video

And make this black smoke multicolored as it is with smoke effect with the classname "ModuleEffectsSmoke_F".

I am not quite sure that I understood you on 'tier 14000' thing.
And yes, I know how to make mission only thing and I've been doing so. But still doesn't change the fact that there are no real Spetsnaz/CTRG specific (other than what Miller's Group 15 wears which doesn't fit in other terrains) armors. I can rely on mods yes, but it means if mod updates and happens to change the cfg or whatever, then that loadout becomes unusable. Hence, I would love vanilla asset.

Well, since you still have a whole month, I hope the support modules will start talking in Russian - if they are used by Russian specialists and the CSAT machines will receive Russian colors. (The tractor is certainly cool, but I would like the Russian intelligence officers to have their cars (the colors of the cars)). And the zone modules - I would like it to be completed for Livonia. (Google translator).
