Every soldier was issued a primary weapon and some of them get special equipment.setting launchers on the primary weapon slot will seriously limp the players ability to enjoy a game where a situational weapon become your primary. zio sam 77 Posted November 21, 2017 Sorry didn't get it ..altough the man firing the bazooka was usually unarmed in the moment of firing,nevertheless he was assigned a rifle(HMG bearer were assigned only pistol),the fact is in real life you can easily throw away your rifle and pick the nearest bazooka very fast and easily but for gameplay reason in arma this is very clunky so maybe,it is better to stick to the old system of primary +launcher and leaving to the mission maker to balance the loadout of the soldiers 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

wsxcgy 1960 Posted November 21, 2017 did you guys change the footstep sounds? it seems like after the latest update, they vanilla ones were replaced with a new sound and its annoyingly loud. moreover, it sounds like its supposed to be walking through grass, even on surfaces that are not grassy in the least. tacticalchubz 32 Posted November 22, 2017 Great update, love the universal carrier. Noticed some minor stuttering when looking at some units, it's mostly vehicles and statics. Have the same problem with csa38, it's not game breaking but if anyone can suggest how to fix it that would be great. I like the PIAT as a main, means we can use it as intended, unless there's a way to use launchers like primarys (using it prone and with a bipod), or a one man portable static weapon is in the works, I think it should stay that way. yevgeni89 163 Posted November 22, 2017 First wanted to say, I love the update, I also am really glad you add the static weapons the way you did now I can place them behind sand bags accordingly, I did notice though the German Tanks seem fairly week compared to the british tanks, took a lot of shots to bring down the Cromwell . Leib 16 Posted November 25, 2017 IF Lite is still being used/popular, and its maps are still okay. Where its suffering right now is US uniforms and equipment. They lost quite a good deal. I absolutely loved this update but I do have one issue: Load limits on the uniforms, vests, packs, etc. Its nearly impossible as, for example a Thompson gunner, to carry a full load of ammo and then also anything like bandages, grenades, etc. It makes designing load-outs for fun-ops and similar things increasingly difficult when even the assigned medic at platoon level can't carry both more than 3-5 carbine magazines, epinephrine, morphine, and bandages (because I use the ACE medical system, obviously). I understand that in real life someone such as a Soviet soldier wouldn't actually have seven or eight full mags for his rifle, but that was balanced because he'd also have several stripper clips of ammunition for once he had expended those 2-3 magazines worth. In other words, real life soldiers had ammo kept in a way ARMA can't really account for. So that's just my little quirk with an otherwise amazing mod. I'd like more ability to carry more ammo and equipment into battle. Also is there any plan in the works to make the radio packs TFAR capable? And why is it that the Allied forces are under the INDFOR while the Axis is under BLUFOR? 4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Yeah you just have to look around for maps whilst I believe most of the community fall back on a mix of the IFA and I44 maps for missions both single player and multiplayer involving WW2 but there should be more I believe like using maps such as Altis, Stratis or Malden for a Greece campaign of sorts? Definitely take a look around there are plenty of maps both out already and still in development for use with WW2, honestly if you look aside the modern buildings which with an eden module that allows you to actually remove, walls, buildings and foliage of any sorts mission makers can actually create any map their way (as long as they have access to the assets to do so). I find it a bit oversaturated...The Iron Front one before the wipe had the perfect color now imho it's a bit meh. I'm not whining and i know sometime Arma render colours differently from the editing tools,i just want to know if it's intended...
