Description

This modification adds new functionalities to 3den, without creating any dependencies for players.

That means, mission builder can use this mod to make their lifes easier without making the lifes of the players harder by forcing them to download additional mods.

FAQ

Is this mod needed on the server to run a mission?

No, once the mission is saved in the Editor, all settings created with 3den Enhanced are saved to the mission.sqm and are available for every player who downloads the mission file when joining the server.

 

All 3den Enhanced settings disappeared when I edited the mission.

Make sure you have 3den Enhanced activated when editing a mission, otherwise all settings will be removed from the mission.sqm.

 

I get a “3den Enhanced needs 3den” error on startup.

3den is part of the vanilla game, make sure your game files aren’t corrupted.

 

Where can I download the mod?

It’s available on Armaholic, Steam Workshop and withSix.

 

Ambient Animations don’t work in a multiplayer session.

Ambient Animations had to be disabled in multiplayer due to massive performance issues. If you want to use them in MP games you have to script them manually, visit https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/BIS_fnc_ambientAnim for more information.

 

Where is the “Random Patrol” attribute?

The “Random Patrol” attribute can be found in the composition attributes. Click on the flag above a selected entity.

 

Why was the “Force Follow Road” attribute removed?

The forceFollowRoad command has undesired side effects which might not be logical for unexperienced players. If you still want to use it you have to use the unit's init field:

There was a “Hide Terrain Objects Trigger”, why was it removed?

Since A3 v1.87 there is a vanilla module to edit and hide terrain objects.

 

Ambient Animations are awesome, can you please add more of them?

That's unfortunately not possible. I have already implemented all vanilla Arma 3 animations I can.

Yea agreed, it's not easy but would certainly be a great feature. Happy to pass over the pseudo code I have for it. Just not sure how well it will work since it'll have to be executed once the scenario starts.

This is absolutely fantastic!

The only unfortunate thing is, that when somebody who doesn't have 3den Enhanced activated opens the mission and saves it again, the mission.sqm entries (for subskills like accuracy, etc.) get lost.

But I take it this is just how the system works, right?

 

Anyways, thanks for adding all the functions that frankly already should have been in the game. :P
