ChineseFood 11 Posted May 3, 2013 Hello, i really hope developers consider this. please add more houses variations and interiors. lots of houses look same copy/paste its ok you can do that but dont overdo . put at least few things inside some houses like 1 couch 2 paintings on wall and 1 vase in corner i understand its additional work but it looks more realistic and alive than empty block houses offices with absolutely nothing. you dont have to fill all stuff in just few furnitures here and there maybe a sink maybe table maybe a broken bed in bedroom. that is not realistic having cleaned empty rooms in town. even in warzones in real life houses you can find at least a broken chair inside house. well thats it for now i really enjoy ARMA 3 THANKS and good luck Bohemia Interactive :)
Tonci87 163 Posted May 3, 2013 There will be furniture in the final version.
nodunit 397 Posted May 3, 2013 Until we see more effective culling techniques, uh uh. I don't want to even fathom the thought of going to Altis and having to render the whole city and it's furniture despite not seeing it.
OrLoK 20 Posted May 3, 2013 Hello there Also, if there's furniture will it be static? I'd rather have a more distressed interior with no furniture to keep FPS up. Rgds LoK
dmarkwick 261 Posted May 3, 2013 Furniture is part of the house model, static. Repetitive furnishings is the nature of the ArmAverse :)

Smurf 12 Posted May 3, 2013 Rather not have it if you get stuck on it. Yeah, it will look lifeless and all but in this case gameplay > immersion.
jw custom 56 Posted May 3, 2013 Repetitive furnishings is the nature of the ArmAverse :) Which is understandable and just fine, but please add a little more variation :)
dmarkwick 261 Posted May 3, 2013 Maybe hidden selections with a pseudo-random enabling? :)
nikiforos 450 Posted May 3, 2013 Ikea furniture? I hope not
Wolfstriked 11 Posted May 3, 2013 PLEASE make it so that you do not get stuck on furniture.I would even say furniture should not have a 3d model in game so you can walk thru it.Some items you can see in Arma3 but you walk right thru them and doesn't bother me in the least.Maybe the tables are collidable but chairs are not. chrisb 196 Posted May 3, 2013 Maybe hidden selections with a pseudo-random enabling? :) Randomly selected interiors is that ? That would be nice, but not overflowing with items, just enough to say there are humans around..
bad benson 1733 Posted May 3, 2013 the few enterable arma 1 houses had furniture proxies. http://i.cubeupload.com/CxtDYW.jpg no idea how that would impact performance but those models were super simple and some of them would still look nice. in fact some of them can be found on chernarus. BI was always good at recycling what looked ok. i mean most furniture is shaped like a number of boxes so few pieces shouldn't be a problem. also pretty much all houses on chernarus and especially on takistan and zargabad had lots of stuff inside. so i wouldn't be too worried there. pretty sure there will be stuff in the final game. http://i.cubeupload.com/RZX6bn.jpg http://i.cubeupload.com/RJORGq.jpg http://i.cubeupload.com/m20SCC.jpg http://i.cubeupload.com/zA1jMX.jpg http://i.cubeupload.com/tGEXE6.jpg http://i.cubeupload.com/iVVV2t.jpg http://i.cubeupload.com/hu7cvm.jpg http://i.cubeupload.com/0WqJdu.jpg http://i.cubeupload.com/4tx2KT.jpg http://i.cubeupload.com/Q7ybK2.jpg
inlesco 233 Posted May 4, 2013 If there'll really be interior objects in buildings of A3, this new function I've requested a month ago would be very helpful for mission makers (although it adds more complexity): http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=6670
wipman 1 Posted May 4, 2013 Hi, the objects inside a house (part of the house model or not) should have a shadow, otherwise it looks very bad and breaks any kind of inmersion, IMO. Let's C ya
Simas 12 Posted May 4, 2013 Furniture would be nice... but IMHO it would be great to have ALL building to be enterable. Sadly this is not the case in current Alpha and I have my doubts it will change.. for example, bug #0004266.
vasmkd 12 Posted May 4, 2013 TV screens we can shoot at and destroy would be nice ;) Dunno what it is that i like about destroying electrical equipment :p
ChineseFood 11 Posted May 4, 2013 in Stratis map there are few unique buildings i really wish i could enter , for example gas station, hangars and that big observatory sphere structure on hill. but then again those buildings will be empty :/

ChineseFood 11 Posted May 6, 2013 if Atlis map will have big town with large hotels police stations malls super markets i hope we can enter them .
Phantom Six 25 Posted May 6, 2013 If anyone knows Namalsk island by Sumrak, that have a nice module for the "furniture" stuff for the underground tunnel network. When you have the module enabled, it autofills the area with some crates and lab equipments and lights. If on default we have so many furnitures, I would fear lag, but having certain buildings enable sometimes, I think that can fix the issue. Well, if a module system, maybe its best to do it on the extremely large buildings with lots of interior space rather than every single one or the smaller not so used house. ChineseFood 11 Posted May 6, 2013 Arma 2 had some furniture objects inside houses , but Arma 2 had very few enterable buildings. but with new technology in Arma 3 i think they should up the ante
smokedog3para 365 Posted May 7, 2013 @bad benson do you mean these a1 houses that i now have made enterable with furiture lol http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-arUnNvt2fBk/UYBjrG_vxyI/AAAAAAAAATU/GKJGEhZdNSY/s1600/arma2OA+2013-05-01+01-21-44-33.bmp
bad benson 1733 Posted May 7, 2013 Arma 2 had some furniture objects inside houses , but Arma 2 had very few enterable buildings. almost every house was enterable on the OA maps Takistan and Zargabad. so in any case. lets wait and see. @bad benson do you mean these a1 houses that i now have made enterable with furiture lol http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-arUnNvt2fB...1-21-44-33.bmp yea they recycle a lot but i don't see a problem. i always felt their judgement on what is outdated and what can be used still was always on point.
