Steakslim 1 Posted July 28, 2013 Really? Anyone got a video or screen? Eh, I don't think it's all too much different from A2, just that the better lighting and such in the game engine for A3 does improve the look of things but the NVG's could still be done better. Enought is enought :) only couple of months till the end of Q3 so maybe soon we get altis to mess around with and test for bugs etc... although... the size of altis will mean it will take forever to scan the island for minor errors such as floating fences or building problems lol

Smurf 12 Posted July 28, 2013 Really? Anyone got a video or screen? Probably just situational lighting. Check these pics I took for another problem (TI contrast issues; ticket, post): Wouldn't call the NV OP, but, IMO, it would be much more nicer if they were less efficient. blackjacktom 10 Posted July 29, 2013 I asked this before, but I'm asking again. Are the tracers in the kamysh really supposed to be red? I think so. In arma 2 most of the vehicle weapons had red tracers.
Thumtac 1 Posted July 29, 2013 Am I the only person who doesn't like the new character rotation? It has only been applied to rifles and I find it feels unnatural compared to how it previously was. From a first person perspective it feels like I'm leaning outward and moving my hips to turn my body, and it looks just terrible in third person. Dev Branch Changelog quote: "Assigned new style collision envelopes to movement with rifle. This should fix several issues with clipping, sticking and walking through walls. Also improves character handling, as the rotation axis is now moved under characters head, instead of it's feet. Pistol envelopes remain old-style for comparison, but will shortly follow." Anybody else prefer the rotation being under the feet apposed too being under the head?

sqb-sma 66 Posted July 29, 2013 +1, you stand on your feet therefore shouldn't your feet be the center of rotation? Yup, the only time I would change this would be when a weapon is deployed with a bipod.
chortles 263 Posted July 29, 2013 My group and I are really liking the new rotations, it's improving on some of what so many people were using st_movement for, so I look forward to seeing the pistols envelopes similarly changed! :D
