VILAS addons release thread

how about police lights script for P85, PL lightbars ? can anyone tell me (PM eventually) how to animate for example : ramp, door etc. and can animation be looped, cause source=user do not look like looped but happnes once (i thought about making police light rotating around lamp (80s)

Vilas: dropped a small contribution to say thanks. Seriously get yourself a decent PC. I can't offer much advice about budget CPUs but I know that a Radeon 7770 offers the best value video card. If you can stretch another €50, get yourself a 7850 which easily overclocks to 7870. Also I strongly recommend an SSD. 40, even 60GB will be too small but a 128GB one will allow you to comfortably install Win7-64 and CO. You can now get good quality (Crucial M4, Samsung 830) 128GB SSD for less than €100. Also don't bother with massive PSU (600+W) unless you want to run SLI. You're better off getting a smaller 400-500 PSU from a quality manufacturer (Antec, Fortron, Corsair, Seasonic) than a larger one from some less-known manufacturer. Sorry to hear about your moggy. I hope that your fire engine has flashing blue lights and a water cannon to extinguish fire or else by I'll send my son round ;)

thanx for advices but Polish shops' prices are little different (i won't buy and wait for parts from post, but i would go to shop and they screwdrive it and set it up)

compare it with yours prices in yours shops around you (divide by 4 to get EU, divide by 3 to get USD) and remind that this is cheap shop

getting SSD drive , getting more "fountains" is for me sensless, also i already have Corsair 550W and i already have Noctua cooling for AM2/3

but i am leaving my old Corsair 550W power unit, my Noctua cooling, my HDD (SATA) , my DVD etc. and I believe I can easily now get strong PC that can hold Arma3 (GTX 650, 4 or 6 core AMD AM3 socket, 4 GB ram) , now i must spend money for Windows 7 which is listed here: ( http://www.skapiec.pl/site/cat/3006/comp/684684 ) cause according to their licenses on yourself-built PC you can't legally have OEM, so instead of super cards and SSD i would rather to change XP to 7 (to use 4 GB ram , cause XP uses only 3) , SSD of course sounds nice, but in PL it is ca. 120 EU , maybe in UK it is 90, but in PL it is 120, cause we have different local taxes and such like things , the same SSD costs in USA 90-100 USD , which is 80 Euro ? cause i have checked US prices at google at the moment, yes, in US they have such SSD for 95 USD

if something costs 90 USD in USA it doesn't mean that in Poland it costs the same, in PL it costs ... 450 PL/3.2= 140 USD ...

we have such mad prices here , due to taxes, due to other things like logistics and fuel price etc. etc.

i just compared SSD prices on Ebay, eh... 97 USD in US/Canada/Australia vs 140 USD in PL (i also wonder how big pizza is there for 10 bucks ;) cause here 30 cm flat like 1 cm)

sorry for post under post , but as on Armaholic updates were published, i can now type changelogs:

4 updates:

1) general update of whole P85 , since previouse release (i don't count wip betas but news on Armaholic) for new year 2012 following changes were made:

- cleaned RPT issues (at least majority, of course not all)

- few new vehicles (mostly for fictional armies like Nogova or SLA or RACS, i cannot correctly remember which exaclty vehicles were added cause there is many of them, but BVP M80A, Unimogs, Landrover Serie III were added)

- some new weapons + custom hand animations

- wheels damage system (tyres etc. Arma2 feature)

- separate civilian cars pack, i replaced all old poor quality models of civilian cars and reworked them totally, details here ( http://www.createforum.com/vilas/viewtopic.php?t=67&mforum=vilas )

- fixed some bugs like wrong cargo placement in LAVs etc.

2/3) West weapons pack + weaponholders (comparing to addon stage from previous release from 2011)

- added multiple G36 variants, added PZF3 , added handanimations

- added Latvian soldiers

4) Polish addon update (comparing to previous news from 15th of September):

- fixed some issues, RPT cleaned,

- added MSBS prototype, added P99D Walther pistol, added G36 with Specter, SpecterDR have 2 aiming modes,

so both PL and P85 addons update are focused on cleaning RPT as i could plus fixing previous issues,

Renault Traffic/Opel Vivaro, Fiat Ducato/Peugeot Boxer, Ford Transit 2000, VW Transporter, are in cars addon for PL pack (second part of Polish addon) since previouse releaase from mid August , now it is only RPT clean + some small fixes like reflector direction fix etc.

BVP M80A is in P85, and of course MLODs will go to you IceBreakr + some other people making Balkan related addons

Thanks for these new/updated addons, your work is much appreciated by myself and many, many others.

For me, as a none maker of addons or mods for the game, and having enjoyed using soo many addons over the years made by soo many community members from here and elsewhere, and indeed sort of collecting them, its really like having the game renewed each time, therefore the game never looses its appeal.

That is in great part down to the many mod/addon makers with all the islands, weapons, units, vehicles, aircraft, factions etc, etc, that keep the game fresh. I know its built upon what BIS has done and do, to support the series, but its still amazes me that there are so many gifted mod/addon makers that provide all this for free.

I for one am very grateful to modders for their time, skill and work in keeping the game fresh from day one..

I have put another donation through paypal and hope your new build is either on the way, or being built.

so i added these entries to your hitpoints arrays in p85_cars_cfg and p85_config

Awesome M80A! Didn't BIS include a BVP for Takis in the recent ACR mod?

It is truly amazing how fast you make these cars! Guys in my team are shocked at the rate you produce them, and the quality is superb.
