  1. Tanks have always been DOA in Arma games and Arma 3 is the worst to date.

    Back to Arma after a long hiatus, can't but say being impressed by the continual additions to RHS. However, I wish to inquire about any progress to the AH64? Does the IHADSS serve any purpose beside night vision and target identification (not acquisition) now?

    Direct control of vehilces is a long-awaited step in the right direction. Next it would be nice to allow player-gunners to pop smoke since AI doesn't do it under direct player control.

    Especially for AI! And we would love some WoT/WT style direct controls because why not? It's hard to crew tanks with human players. And one missing feature that should be introduced is hydraulic control of the turret. Current implementation feels like rotating a frying pan.

    Another thing Squad has the upper hand with is the animations. From watching recent vids they seem to have improved with motion capture and smoother transitions. Arma still feels like a mech simulator with the robotic way infantry moves and reacts.
  9. I love this mod, as mainly SP player it even suits me better than ACE. Any possibility of an integration patch with RHS content? That'd be cool.

    Anyone know of a good way to operate a gunship with only AI as buddy? When switching to gunner the pilot doesn't stay at the elevation that I last left the helicopter at.

  13. The workshop is a shithole now. Everyone re-uploads everything with or without permission, and even PW6 just re-uploads the re-uploads.. Getting harder to find original new content (that doesn't belong to the ArmaLife rubbish pile)
  14. Thanks for reviving this project, eventually it will make up for the dead Combat Helo project. I have an issue with the gunner's overlay now showing when switching optics. Is this a known issue/conflict with other mods (RHS?)
  15. Thank you beaar.. Btw if it's not asking too much, can you please fix some of the turrets in your desert camo pack? They appear black after the most recent RHS update.

    I came here to post the exact same sentiment! I hope in a future revision the RHS team implements more and more advanced armour features.

    Well it still serves me on all other games, so until another company releases a milsandbox with AI subroutines akin to Arma, we'll never know how much needless overhead we're wasting. In fairness, fiddling with the view distance seems to have improved things for me, but this hasn't been documented in the update, whereas before I had +3km distance with good framerates.

    Well all this needless "overhauling" has convinced me to steer clear of any upcoming DLC, especially more so since BI doesn't bother to optimise for AMD hardware.

  21. It runs extra scripts, due to nature of Arma engine it's not threaded to make use of extra CPU cores so performancie s affected.
  22. Is ragdoll modification removed from ACE? Because now it looks like stock Arma 2 animation ie sucks.

    Massively (heh) disappointed that they haven't even bothered to model authentic sights. It wouldn't have been that difficult! And the WoT sighting system, bleh.
