  2. Perhaps if we get more vocal about this issue (a separate thread to discuss it?), BIS will respond. Sooner or later. Either way, you know, they've got their own priorities and don't want the devs to be overworked...

    EM_buildings - new buildings

    Since config work is a quite dirty process (especially for Arma), it's natural only the most fierce take on it seriously. Try posting on armadev subreddit. Lots of good folk down there. Also, CUP team has some great config-masters, they may help you :P BTW - great progress on the mansion! I guess we all would love to see more varied buildings come to life in arma :)
  6. Holy shit, the valley, the last picture in the latest imgur album, looks astonishing! So many beautiful shots that it seems Arma should be used more for nature photography and less for "war simulation" :D

  8. So, it's been some time since End Game was released and it's a great choice for those who're looking for a solid TvT objective-based match. Most of my own End Game matches were quite intense, with some blind shooting / chaos involved, and I loved every second of it. However, I find that BIS didn't market End Game properly. Fe., take a look here: http://imgur.com/a/D1TOm - those are results of various search queries for 'endgame' on Youtube. You might notice that, fe., 'arma 3 endgame' results selection is kinda... disappointing, especially from a newcomers [to Arma] point of view. As we know, new players usually don't want to watch a 2 hour developer livestream because they're not sure what to expect because they don't know the developer itself or the game. Naturally, people assume it's a waste of time. What newcomers want --> a tight, varied and entertaining trailer / gameplay trailer instead of prolonged & vaguely described videos. So, there's no separate trailer dedicated to End Game by BIS on Youtube, no quick introduction video by BIS, just a Nexus trailer that only briefly covers what EndGame is about. That's not how you attract new people to give your ambitious & cool gamemode a try. Unfortunately, you have to make the intro less of a rocky road. At the beginning, everyone needs some decent guidance, tips and no-bullshit information. Marketing strategy of End Game failed to do that. AFAIR, there was no incentive to try out End Game unless it's you're above-the-standard curious. So, sadly, IMHO, it's just a matter of time before End Game dies out. Now, onto the main question... What kind of an ambitious gamemode BIS should develop next? These questions pop in immediately: Should it be on a larger scale than End Game? Max players allowed? Focused on TVT, PVP, PVE, or... the good old Coop? Inspired by successful large-scale PVE / PVP gamemodes like Insurgency, Invade & Annex or Domination? If not, what community gamemode should serve as an inspiration? Or... Maybe it's time for an official Arma 3 Life expansion! (Game-dev is a business, after all!) (Just kidding :)) Your thoughts?

    Mixed Questions.

    Don't think a mere patch will do. For the full effect, BIS needs to rewrite their AI module completely because currently it's tied in all the simulation. Do the same for AI as they did for audio module. If BIS continues to duct-tape the current AI system, it'll become a really unmaintainable complex mess.

It could be that a story-driven, intense (and don't forget - it has to be lengthy, varied, with lots of content / different situations) costs much more a than proprietary MP gamemode like End Game. What % of total A3 users have tried the main campaign, not to mention, completed it? I think Steam achievements might help you find that out. AFAIR, the numbers are depressingly low.

    Tasks Overhaul

    No need for an option of its position, just hide it when player toggles 'J' for taskboard view and mark the current task properly on the taskboard itself.
  16. You can't say it's fixed unless you try to reproduce it in an identical scenario (if you've tested tanks before the library upd.) and they don't bounce. There's too many variables invovled, so you also have to keep track of them (write everything to a log file each 0.1s?).

    Eden Feature Requests

    Every 3D modelling program has this, too. It's a great feature. In fact, the more, the better, but we must keep in mind the devs have limited time and resources, so priorities must be set. :)
  18. Well, what features you've got in mind? Civilians actually carrying out their daily tasks? Gathering up (like, 3-4) in houses to have chat, leaving after a timeout (fe, 200 secs), etc? Sure, a better simulation of civ behavior would be nice, but that's also a time and hair killer to debug and implement properly so it's no unmaintainable spaghetti code :D

    Let's break down what you've got in mind: When some unit (let's call it - X) arrives at a waypoint, a countdown of a random time begins until 3 artillery shots within random intervals are made? Artillery hits exactly or within a radius of that WP (waypoint)? Define better what you've got in mind.
  20. Could you please add an explanation page / block on why it's disabled and how to make an acc in the meantime? :) That'd help lots of people instead of searching the forums for a [possible] solution.
  21. Got a little question: How does one view more than 5 recent posts of a user within his profile? Fe., members like killzoned_kid always post neat stuff and if one is away from other forums for a week, he wants to check out latest stuff of a decent scripter :) If it's not possible to view > 5 recent posts, any plans to integrate that? When? Some lazy-loading (loads ~10-20 more when you scroll to bottom) for recent user's posts would be great (there's no need for pagination :)). Thanks a lot. And if there's a FEEDBACK TRACKER dedicated to web issues / improvements, I'd love to participate.

    EDEN Editor BUGS

    Even if it's not directly related to Eden, I'm very hopeful a BI dev could provide an advice... How does one make a table like this (from OFP: Resistance): http://i.imgur.com/zlvii2O.jpg I'd love to see some stats tracking in Apex coop campaign, too. Perhaps a basis for that is currently WIP by BIS themselves? :)
  23. Wait a sec... Are TPW's ambient civs & traffic outdated? Last time I checked, they were the fastest way to inject some ambience into a mission.
  24. Any possibility you could share it? No worries, if it's spaghetti or anything, I think many will find it useful if it's up to date :) Just a thought, no pressure.
