TechnoTerrorist303 10 Posted July 25, 2010 Let's not get sucked into generalizations about DLC or not to DLC again, that got 10 pages of posts deleted yesterday......# sorry mods Anyway. A question about the Apache, is this simply a reskinned version of the one in the game already or has the model and flight model been tweaked to better represent the British one? Guest Posted July 25, 2010 Where did you see anything about the Longbow? On the first page. British versions: off-road car, Chinook HC2 transport helicopter, Apache AH1 gunship :)
nodunit 397 Posted July 25, 2010 On the first page.:) Oooh I see, my mistake thanks for clearing that up.
fusionofp 0 Posted July 25, 2010 No mistake Nodunit, the AH1 is a Cobra.
Enders 0 Posted July 25, 2010 (edited) No mistake Nodunit, the AH1 is a Cobra. In this context, the AH1 (Apache) is the UK ministry of defence's nomenclature for the UK armed forces modified version of the AH64D Apache, built under licence by AgustaWestland up the road from me in Yeovil, England :) Edited July 25, 2010 by Enders

TechnoTerrorist303 10 Posted July 25, 2010 (edited) I'm also very interested in the Lynx... For a long time one of my favourite aircraft, I've actually seen them being made too. What kind of loadouts can we expect to see on it? Edited July 25, 2010 by W0lle
Haystack15 10 Posted July 25, 2010 (edited) I'm also very interested in the Lynx... For a long time one of my favourite aircraft, I've actually seen them being made too. looks ugly to me, but the rotors on it are sweet thought, that's what gives it its speed. Fastest helicopter in the world. MMMmmmmm..... sweet rotors What kind of load outs can we expect to see on it? Im guessing the common load out. Although never seen it armed with anything but some MG's on the sides. Wikipedia seems to give some info on load outs. I don't expect something big on it, Maybe something to give some small support like what the Venom can do Edited July 25, 2010 by Haystack15
HotShot 0 Posted July 25, 2010 What kind of loadouts can we expect to see on it? Looking at this picture it seems to have a rocket pod on one side, and a cannon or machine gun pod on the other. Also see this one for the cannon pod.
Wolfstriked 11 Posted July 25, 2010 Will the vehicles have interior modeling like the Bradley was done?If so I am sold!
FUNKSTAR 10 Posted July 25, 2010 Lynx load outs All I ever see them have was a gimpy door gunner and two rocket pods, the thing on the pics that some have said is a cannon could just be a radar techno thing that fighter planes have on there noses.
BF2_Trooper 0 Posted July 25, 2010 I'm sure do not buy dlc but marek, if you read this post, you and your team create very long coop campaign or sp and sell it , 2 3 dollars, and i'll pay.i prefer play at a good campaign to see a bad movie on dvd. Yes, having a COOP campaign would be a huge selling point for me. If we are to pay for this DLC, then the campaign should be playable in COOP, unlike EW which was a pure SP experience but that was free.
vinc3nt 10 Posted July 25, 2010 ty BIS for the DLC, but I still wish it had these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Challenger_2 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BAE_Harrier_II :pet5:
W0lle 1052 Posted July 25, 2010 Please stop these "we need the Challenger" posts. I'm pretty sure BIS got the message after countless of such posts.

TechnoTerrorist303 10 Posted July 25, 2010 Please stop these "we need the Challenger" posts. I'm pretty sure BIS got the message after countless of such posts. If this was any other community forum I would be less than hopeful but at least we know that BIS actually pay attention to their customers. That Lynx photo shows a cannon pod yeah and I would assume there's a rocket pod on the other side, will we get a naval sub hunter version as well I wonder? :) Also, if we are getting any kind of UK SF units in this pack will they have ridiculous facial hair as they tend to in pretty much every other game/film/book? Windexglow 10 Posted July 25, 2010 We DONT need a challenger.. BIS planned this pack and its just fine :) Exactly, by adding a challenger to the game Bluefor is guaranteed to win.
nodunit 397 Posted July 25, 2010 Will the vehicles have interior modeling like the Bradley was done?If so I am sold! I'm sure it will, everything but MBT's get interior most likely due to fact that passengers can see the driver and everyone else in some APC's.
el_muerko 0 Posted July 25, 2010 Quick question, apologies if it's already been answered. I own the retail versions of ArmA2 & OA, how will I be able to purchase the DLC? For example if I purchase the Steam DLC what will it download?
kylania 568 Posted July 25, 2010 Quick question, apologies if it's already been answered.I own the retail versions of ArmA2 & OA, how will I be able to purchase the DLC? For example if I purchase the Steam DLC what will it download? I can understand not reading all 70+ pages of this thread, but one would think you'd at least read the first post which answers this question. :p + BAF will be available for purchase from Sprocket, STEAM and some other yet unannounced sources (read: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?p=1693244&highlight=steam#post1693244 )

Which I thought was fairly clear from the second question in it. Steam is not aware I own ARMA 2 or OA, so will I be able to purchase the DLC from Steam? If I can purchase it what will Steam then do with the DLC? Will it require me copying the data from my Steam directory to my retail install? They listed download services that may expect the game content to be in a location it wont be, or expect me to purchase the game for which the DLC is made from them, when I already own a retail copy of the game. Get me now? Edited July 25, 2010 by El_MUERkO
Simon C 0 Posted July 26, 2010 Steam probably wouldn't work for you, but Sprocket will. I own the boxed version of ArmA II and the Sprocket version of OA, and they work fine together. Sprocket does not expect the game to be in a particular location, it only gives you the installer and the compressed data, you then install that wherever you want.
