ARMA II Beta Builds Released: Latest version/build: 1.04.6xxxx

Recommended Posts

@Zipper5: O M G the world is going down!!!

I never indicated it was. If it's not fixed soon by BIS, people will start to bitch about it. You watch. It's like the muzzle flashes being the same and all that bullshit. I was just pointing it out. Granted this time, however, it does look kinda strange.

Works a treat for me. Zero stuttering, constant FPS. I was losing hope with BIS but I am a happy camper now. TY.

This game just keeps getting better and better! I am rewarded time and time again for supporting BIS. Thank you devs, thank you!

I gotta second this. This patch seems to give me even better, almost flawless behavior. Mind you the last patch and prior gave me damn good performance but this new one really seems to up the smoothness of the game. Thanks BIS!

[59668] Improved: Hitpoint can pass only a part of the hit to the total damage (passthrough setting no longer ignored).

I don't know what part of the game is improved by this...because I can still destroy a T-90 with just 100 rounds from a Kord 12.7mm HMG

A BMP or a Hind can take much more...strange!!!

New patch, that's great!

First test, not saying this patch is good or bad.

Starting ArmA2, no addons, startup paramter: -world=empty

Beta 59210 - 188FPS

Beta 59857 - 124FPS

I'm going to test a little more the next days.

Eventhough I am getting lower frames, I can say the patch is really good. Same visual performance with slightly lower FPS, but much smoother gameplay.

Thumbs up from me !

I find flying over the large cities is less stuttery for me at 3000 view distance I do remember a chug fest before 1.04.

I tested vanilla and not may stutters or hardly popins in the main large city industrial places and towns, I do get a hit once I load mods but thats obvious. Once I put on VVFPS thats sort me out. So its still an improvement.

Same here, less stuttering as it seems flying over Cherno.

Note : could you reload while passing over a fence before ? or is the new IK system ?

[59741] Analogue throttle working for helicopters as well.

Resulting in Helicopters loosing the rest of the already to low "lift".

A gain in altitude need more time now and a positive vertical velocity is not achievable under 75% collective.(50% with the old style throttle)

The effect is that the "analogue" throttle has a very digital feeling now..."on" or "off".

I'm betting it's tunable just like the joystick. Would be nice to have those values in the config interface though ;)

DL'ing now.

(P.S. BIS rocks!)

Okay, fuck this. Just... fuck this. When I try to run the damn thing, I get a message telling me that "ArmA 2 is not installed on your computer, or installation is corrupted." I have tried to run the uninstall, and deleted the old beta folder. Nothing works.

Fuck this.

There is one good thig with the new Trottle handling: Helicopter dont tend to drop out of the sky at high bank angles (70°-90° with analogue throttle.

There's some new parameters for the SuperPower mission, are these introduced with this beta?

I havn't seen'em before. But I like it!

Also, the purchase menu's looks remade!!

Performance seems somewhat improved, havn't tested properly yet.

Thumbs up!!

They've fixed the weird flickering textures issue with buildings, but I seem to have lost about 5-10fps. Anyone else get a loss of framerate?

Good evening... With the newest betapatch i got a graphic-bug...

In the menu i got just a black screen but i can choose the Options, multiplayer, editor etc...
