surely that's exactly the same as cod/any other game which uses killcam? you just report the enemy's position over ts...

OGG is referring to the Official Game Group, the game's official group on Steam. The event was to reach 4000 and 500 members in the A2 and OA groups, respectively.

Nope, the plane on the image from the Steam group is an L-159 Alca.

Of course L159 modeled twice may be possible like An-2,which was modeled by Wings Of Russia project and another its model is upcoming on Arrowhead.

The Aero L-159 Alca from armaholic that you posted, is a ported model (with permission) from Flight Simulator. I don't think BIS would buy a ported model (whatever would the quality of the model be). :)

1. less trees and vegetation to take away fps

2. optimisations on the engine were confirmed

Im curious about the Zargabad map though, looks to be too much fun, i hope it will be playable, but well i was managed to set the settings of arma2 so chernogorsk is playable for me

I remember reading alot of complaints from previews that big cities are still a huge issue.

Big cities aren't a "huge issue" anymore in ArmA2. I play in Chernogorsk/Berezino fine all the time, if you haven't tried the beta patches you should! Also note that a lot of the previewers had pretty weak computers as evident by the graphical quality of their screenshots/videos.

I have no problem in the big cities of Chernogorsk/Berezino any more since 1.05.

And I am running ArmA II on an ATI X1950 Pro; which I think we all agree is ancient.

So whats the problem with my computer it aint exactly a dinosaur

I have a 9800gtx OC'd 2.4ghz 9750 amd phenom CPU, 8gb ram and I have the maxmem command set and the cpu command

One thing I dont have is a ram disk

I run the game on High settings with No AA and fillrate at 100%100% Chernarus is extremely laggy so I never play the island nor the campaign.

oh and my last post:

Viewdistance doesnt help much even going all the way down to 500 I will get like a 5fps boost.

Hi all

The biggest problem most people have is trying to push too many pixels.

I run at 1024 by 768 and a view distance of 1600, I up the view distance if I am flying.
