I have had 2 crashes since 1.03:

- One after loading a mission... and I was alt-tabbing

- Other after I tried setting view distance to 10000 with everything on very high... it crashed after i exited the UAV.... needless to say my system was dragging...

Do they just not have a testing department????

Hey BI, i'm sure people would be more than happy to test things for you, as long as you make it a BETA patch and not just keep releasing bug after bug as finished patches...

i get random crashes. No one else in my clan has the crashes, so I am guessing it is a hardware issue that was introduced though.

Guess were in the experimental phase of patches again like it was with ArmA at some point.

For me the patch didnt do much performance wise, even worsened things a bit so in very demanding missions ( that are somehow always the ones in urban areas... problems with building optimizing anyone? ) i even get ghost soldiers so i see guns float around and after mins the soldier to it pops up.

Overall the program runs stable. Especially multiplayer. But sometimes there are still CTD if I play the campaign and try to reload an older savegame...

The start of the campaign and the savegames are all based on the Version 1.03 and aren't older ones.

Getting some MP CTD's .... but only in Domination missions so far.

*might* be related to choppers getting damaged, then 1/2 second later, CTD

I have to run the game with -winxp command or else I get the untextured different geo lod models (cartoonish). I have read the different sticky topics and they did not help me. I was hoping this would be fixed in the patch so the game could utilize more memory possibly. I do love that the AI does not report who killed them and where they are, makes sneaky missions much more fun now :)

I am running the following specs.

Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit

EVGA 780i SLI MB

Thermaltake 700W PS

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3 GHZ

8GB DDR2 Corsair DHX2

EVGA 9800GTX 512MB Standard model

Creative SB X-treme Gamer XFI

2x 500GB WD 7200RPM HDD

Samsung 226BW 22" LCD

So according to 60% the patch made it worse or didn't fix anything? I just upgraded my 9600gt to a gtx 260, so I am considering giving my ArmA 2 copy another go...but I don't want the frustration. Is there still 2xx problems?

Had some AI mass battles, that tended to crash the game after a while.

Seems this really has been fixed, keeps running fine now, also with rather decent performance.

Still got flickering textures.

Still got issues with shadows.

Still got grass and plants teleporting into existence only a few feet away from me.

All on a fresh install of the game. Overall performance seems better - but that is only in the editor or scenarios - I wont know for sure until I try the campaign again I suppose. The shadows have fewer artifacts as long as I keep render resolution at 100% if I try to increase the render res I start to get huge blocky artifacts on the shadows and all shadows are too opaque and have sharp edges to them - no soft edges to shadows at all.

But having said the above I wasn't realistically expecting fixes for them with this patch, this patch was always going to be about fixing actual game-play bugs and errors I suppose.

i7 940 (not over-clocked)

4870X2 2GB

6GB DDR3 1333mhz

Vista64

MSI X58 Platinum

- New issues: It introduced some new serious issue for me

For me its just the stutter bug and the sound issues that have been reported. Just thought I would share my thoughts as well and will stfu about it.

I've gotten a performance drop with the patch. Also some textures don't look so sharp as before. I have Steam version. So I guess us Steam users will be downloading another 4.5GB patch again soon. :banghead: :391:

I would just like to add that server problems have been sooooo mcuh worse since the patch.

This is mainly due (as far as I can tell) to servers crashing, and not a loss in connection. I say this because i get the 'no message from server' messages and when i go back to the server list, the server is gone, so i can only assume it has crashed.

This has been happening extremely frequently on about 5 different servers i play on, and prior to the patch this hardly ever happened.

Hopefully you will have this all ironed out by the time patch 1.999999 has come out BI.

*Thunderous Applause*

Dedicated Servers in Aus are feeling the wraith of v1.03

Every second Thread posted is titled "Please restart server" or "Crashed".

Ours is having regular restarts since 1.03, memory issues, involving a mix of popular missions. The only one that seems to hold up the longest is Evo blue NoAddons.

As a client im experiencing CTD when healing at a Helo, when given the option.

I'm happy with the patch, its fixed most major issues in the campaign COOP... we did a few hours today from the start and it definitely is better!

The bug with the AI shooting you if you accidentally kill a friendly is still there though, quite annoying.

My game is doing good now. Last night however after 2 hours or more of playing I began to have random stutters in the game. But I highly doubt this is caused by the game, probably just my computer.

Most STEAM games allow you to make a back up , people who purchased the steam version might wanna see if they can.....I loathe steam...

I did patch my game.

Still get building flicker sometimes from a distance. And some occasional plant texture blocks.....plant looks like a block...again ,this is random when at a distance with 1 kind of plant.

Old game save caused ctd , but thats to be expected with early patching.

Got to do more testing today to isolate any stutters and other performance bugs.

Sofar so good....atleast for me.

I got the sound bug (also in earlier patches) and stutters sometimes. Especially in the large coastal cities. Some of the trees also make my system come to a complete crawl. But stabilitywise, I only get crashes sometimes when the server crashes. So I have to say it works pretty good for me.

The new saving option in multiplayer is great. However, while playing the co-op campaign, loading a saved game resulted in all players (except the host) getting disconnected. After rejoining the game, the gameplay would be very desynchronized and would not synchronize properly again.
