Suggestion for ArmA 2 editing guide:

it would be nice to have a chapter on how to create dynamic conversation with NPC's.

Is there any module which helps to create these dialogues: or it is heavy scripting necessary?

thanks

:)

How relevant is the old guide for ArmA2?

Most of the commands are still valid for ArmA II and therefore it's still usefull.

This thread is very old, when can we expect the guide to be complete?

Oh my god I thought this was actually a post regarding a release, not spamming for a release date. When it's done I'm sure is the answer.

Hello Guys!

After some vacation I´m back in scene and very motivated to finalize that thing!

Currently I´m heavy busy by analyzing OAH. I´m going to prepare A2 and AOH

in only one big guide. Some of my guys supporting me with new stuff and

some other help I need to make it final.

I have had some troubles with things like Win 7, some not working applications

and so on. Now my system works well and I´m looking forward to deliver

another great guide for all of you. Hopefully it will be appreciated

You wishes are always very welcome! If you have detected something you

would like to have in that guide, please don´t hesitate to mail me. Everthing

I get which helps to finalize it makes me happy and faster to finalize it.

Yours,

Mr-Murray

So glad to hear you're working on updating the guide.

Not only is it a fantastically useful module building tool but also a wealth of information as to how things work , information that BI itself failed to provide. (and yes I'm too damn lazy to try all the permutations and combination's to see what the results are).

You actually should be selling it as it's invaluable. I still refer to the old ArmA1 manual for class names etc. as I hate having to close or hide the game while I try and find the appropriate WiKi site only to find out you're redirected to another one.

Keep up the EXCELLENT work.

Mr Murray,

first of all many thanks for your first editing guide! It´s been a big help and it still is!!

Since I just stumbled over this thread and your post where you "asked" for wishes regarding topics in your anounced "update"-editing guide, there is something I have in mind.

Proper working task-update in mp sessions on dedicated servers. Preferably

with taking JIP/respawn into account.

I know it´s a huge topic and that this one has been discussed many many

times in this forum, but this is something I still haven´t been able to get

work nice, smooth and reliable.

Even without taking the just mentioned "wish" into consideration, I´m looking

forward to your new editing guide anyway!

All the best...

Currently I´m heavy busy to explain the modules with their possibilities.

There is maybe a chance for a pre-release of this part in order to consider

your feedback for the final guide.
