r3m 10 Posted October 31, 2009 (edited) I can't get this working for a server. The server has 2.1's key installed. It also has the small bisigned and pbo addons that came with it and verifysignatures is equal to 1 in the server config. I join with 2.1's latest client version and it says I can't join the server because vop sound is not signed Ive placed the vopsound bikey in the correct folder into the keys folder -It still wont accept Vop enabled clients. What am I doing wrong? On another note I asked for help on getting our server to allow the use of this mod.I installed the repack version of 2.1 to my install then added the key to the keys directory on the server but it throws up this error upon joining the server. Files "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_environmental.pbo ", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_fixedwings.pbo", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_gear.pbo", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_guns.pbo", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_impact.pbo", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_environmental.pbo ", ... are not signed by a key accepted by this server. To play on this server, remove listed files or install additional accepted keys. Any ideas? I am experiencing the same problem. Do any server ops have a solution? mr burns 132 Posted November 4, 2009 im guessing this is no longer supported ? Mostly, yes. I asked vo.2 about it some time ago. Use the file i linked on page 29 of this thread and make sure that everyone else downloads the same, and server admins use the key that comes with it. A few pages later there´s some explanation why. GRoss 10 Posted November 6, 2009 Hello everyone! I've just downloaded VopSounds 2.1 and VopSounds 2.1signed and followed the installation instructions, but could not get the mod to work.. I am using Arma2 launcher with VopSounds enabled in the list of mods - I have some sounds in the game (like ricochet sounds) but am mission all shooting sounds, etc. I am quite new to using mods in Arma2 (I don't often use mods in games) so some advice would be appreciated 8P
Eagle_9 10 Posted November 6, 2009 I was having the same trouble too, then i read this guys post a few pages back and it got mine to work...hope this helps... You guys might want to check if all the add-on files arent in their own folders, but just there in the addon folder itself. So no ArmA2/@vopmod/addons/equipmentsounds/equipment.pbo But: ArmA2/@vopmod/addons/equipment.pbo etc etc. I had the same problem of VOP not running, you could also try to put all the .pbo files in another modfolder that you checked and did work. VOP sound goes in your ARMA 2 folder. Should look like this: @VopSound_2.1, and inside that you should have a addons folder with all the sounds unpacked out of their folders. GTO 10 Posted November 8, 2009 Can someone explain this please. Mod installed and working in SP but I get booted from every server with this message. Files "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_environmental.pbo ", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_fixedwings.pbo", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_gear.pbo", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_guns.pbo", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_impact.pbo", "@vopsound_2.1\addons\vops_c_environmental.pbo ", ... are not signed by a key accepted by this server. Arma2 has a protection system that allows server managers to prevent people using unauthorized addons that may contribute to cheating. In this case practically no one has their servers set to recognize this mod.
tpw 2315 Posted November 9, 2009 I've installed Vopsound and really love it. I spend most of my time patrolling around on foot, and the footfall noises are so much more realistic. The various bullet cracks actually make me flinch (in a good way :) ) My only observation, and it might not be Vopsound related, is that if I'm in a chopper, I can hear a bird chirping in the cockpit with me, even if flying at 500m. I'm pretty sure he didn't climb in with me... Anyone else experienced this? Apart from this slight glitch, it's an essential mod, thanks!
Delta 51 10 Posted November 9, 2009 also some servers don't allow the mod, ergo why you get the server key message

jw custom 56 Posted November 12, 2009 There's a few bugs in this mod including the really annoying messagebox that pops up from time to time. I don't think the author is working on this mod anymore so live with it as it is or move to Sound of War mod until Chammy's sound mod is released!

I got kicked twice from the same server in a WarfareBE game and also have the light_sea.wss messages, I don't even use Vop outside of my clan server so it wasn't running clientside. TimRiceSE 10 Posted November 30, 2009 the .pbo's in the Environmental Sounds etcetc folders need to be in the @VopSound_2.1/AddOns directory. The point is you pick and choose what you want and put them in the @VopSound_2.1/AddOns dir
