ArmA 2 German Release Thread

Registered to see the latest and greatest news about Arma2. Been playing ARMA for several months now. Can't wait to buy it when it comes out. My only problem is I am in Korea and have no clue how I will get my copy here. Lucky few in Germany get to enjoy it already hope they share some video.

They have been screaming war for quite some time now. Just waiting for it to happen I guess, but it's highly unlikely. Maybe a skirmish by the NLL with the navy like the last time.

I need ARMA 2 cause me like it:D Guys know any new vids of ARMA2? I didn't get to see the broadcast by Bert earlier.

Were we watching the same video?? Yeah, the Abrams geting stuck was lame, but the enemy soldiers reacted very quickly to your fire.

What bothered me is that the ladders are still stupid, but thats a low prioroty issue.

Edit: besides, they are already working on a patch. ^^

Meh... asked at a local big electronics market about it and the guy just said it aint released yet so they cant display it already.

When i asked nicely if theres a chance to buy it he just said no sorry were not allowed to sell before friday... well chances werent big anyway :p

Ordered at Amazon with overnight option so maybe it waits when i come home and if not its there friday.

Dont have much time to play today anyway so that fits.

But hey its nice to have this fuzzy "oh i just wanna go home and play" feeling again that i had the last time with FA3.

When the abrahams get stuck, he was not using the Gamelogics, maybe, i don't know, that could be the reason.

Anyway, on the same mission, IA was on a crossroad and they cover by themselves all the streets, not anymore in the middle of the street, they were on corners.

Let's wait until someone review the game using gamelogics for the ai, so we can see their real reactions.

Overall i'm very impressed by the live streaming, good atmospheric, fast and quickly ai reactions, also the missile system is really nice.

btw BIS, at least cows have clipping issue, you can pass trough them by using another cow (time for bughunting!!!)

I thought it was somehow possible to push two cows together and then clip through them. :D

Well, it's probably not such a high priority bug because it won't be happening that often that you'll be playing as a cow.

Did anyone hear anything about if the grass stay down "forever" after vehicles drove over it or if it "resets" after a while like tracks in ArmA1? Would be cool if they stay down during the whole session so you can send out recon parties to follow tracks. :)

This is one of the reasons I won't be the test bunny for BIS and will wait up for 505 Games release (hopefully better) :) What kind of lame betatester misses something like that? Whats the excuse, is the driver's name in that BRDM maybe Jesus? :)
