Show me when BIS did a pre-render before? ;) I sure as hell never seen it. And thats why BIS rules.

Just curious:

- on AI improvements

- about 3D mission editor and new modules

- if there are interiors and working MFDs for aircrafts and vehicles

The new faces look superb, but they may be "Hero" characters just like Team Razor.

Razor's faces were quite good already, it's just the regular grunts who looked like plastic models with collagen-filled lips. Let's hope they changed this aswell.

The rest looks pretty sweet.

Excellent! Finally that pale puppet-like/ghost-like Arma2 Faces will go away...

I was already amazed by the texture-quality of this Arma2 default Face, since its really a exception...

The "Clock direction" indication is back....

At that one screen the chat-text shows "At 12 o clock, enemy far".....

Really looking forward to OA now. Some of the vehicles look fantastic and the unit models are superb, particularly the new faces.

Looks like I should think about starting a VIPIR-2+ scope model :D

And the sights are Zeroed at 300m, Sight Zeroing as standard then or just certain weapons?

Things I am excited about:

  • SCUD Launcher
  • A-10 is back
  • Mi-24 is Back
  • That picture with the town and the mountain behind it.
  • What appears to be Russian UN troops
  • Czech SF
  • and probably a lot more I haven't noticed
  • New tank indicator and radar. edit: and apparently that bug where the radio messages get doubled up after ordering something during the first one.
  • River? Lake? Optical Illusion?
  • The Government forces symbol is pretty cool. The crazy triangle thing.

I just hope my computer can run it.

Terry Graves appears to be a main character.

sniper scopes can be adjusted to account for bullet drop

Looks like the top of the mountains in the bg are just clipping out in the fog, then the horizon object makes it look like a lake inbetween the real terrain and the fake stuff.

Its one of the bugs I've been wishing BI would fix forever...

I hope the ramp is really usable and not just a gimmick:

It also looks like special effects such as explosions and smoke are also improved.

Blooming also seems more controlled and in general lighting has been improved subtly and I believe also the shadowing system.

Mention of an improved destruction system (which probably means that this time almost all if not all buildings have piece by piece destruction like some in Arma 2)

The Radar also looks very nicely designed.

Adjustment of sniper rifles is great but I hope it extends to normal rifles and grenade launchers.

Let's see if Javelin has a proper scope system now with all the flashing lights and everything!

I simply was blown away by the new faces, as Arma's weakest graphical part was the plasteline models people mentioned. Just also hope it extends to common grunts and not just the protagonists as it was said.

The city looks amazing too and a very tasty playfield!

The clock spotting is back?! Thank god. the spotting system is so useless atm. i really hope its gettin patched back for Vanilla Arma also....!

Hi all

Interesting to note the direction dial in the vehicle works on Arcs:

1) Outer dial gives the arcs for Contact: half right, half left, half right rear, half left rear.

2) Inner dial gives the arcs for Contact: Front, Left, Right, Rear.

I would probably have made them oposite IE primary direction arcs on the Outside Dial and half arcs on the Inner Dial. Simply rotating the picture 45 degrees would fix it.

In my opinion the Eurogamer.cz preview is the best so far. I guess it's worth a translation :)
