colligpip 0 Posted January 28, 2007 Has anybody ever made a mod for ofp or Armed Assualt that is similar to The Sims ie- you make sims and then buildings and make them walk around do day to day stuff. The reason I ask is my girlfreind loves The Sims if I could get the sims into AA she could play it I could then send in a squad to kill all them sims. This for me would be really a good fun day to have. So come on modders lets bring the sims to AA. No seriously though it would be good you could have loads of people that like playing the sims etc to simulate a living town and all those that like to shoot could be in the army. This idea could be extended to people that like playing those train sims or civilian flight sims how great would this be good idea yes. Or that second life think of it if armed assualt could invade second life o yes please. Thankyou for reading my stupid idea. and i humbly apoligise for not seeing this addon request thread. First a very broad poll like : What would you like to be extended in priority : 1) Environment (Island, Builings, Nature) 2) Vehicles 3) Units (Humans & Animals) 4) Weapons 5) Gameplay/Command system 6) Effects (Visual/sound/Animation) 7) Era : 70's, Napoleonic, Sci-fi Then specific polls to organize each category : For instance : Environment : 1- Different Textures for Winter/Automn 2- New Island topology 3- New types of buildings & architecture (Asiatic, Muslim) 4- New types of plants (sub-tropical, Josua trees...) etc... Until then I would love : - Winter textures + snow flakes (very different look and feel) - Transport airplane for Paradrops - Aircraft Carrier - the most flexible base for operations - Divers (now that you can swim) - Maybe an hovercraft ? - A recon drone to see the position of the enemy. - Be able to climb over barriers and fences (like with swimming, it would be impossible if you're too heavy) - Stirrable parachute - Civil plane A Mi24 Hind would be cool too, but mostly because it looks so cool. It's an iconic vehicle, but it wouldn't change much the gameplay. -not an addon per se, but a certification program for addons would be great too to see the best be widespread. They have to do this while under the check of the King. The kingdom starts off fighting a war with the North, so its everyone vs the SLA. The factions system will be like total war series where instead of the senate u will get the King giving u commands. There will be random resistance movements and things like that. If the king finds you to powerfull your faction will be declared illegal, and the king will try to attack you. Eventually there will be a massive civil war between everyone. Once you are killed more then like say 5 times you become a vassel of the general who's men killed you Also the generals can make deals with each other or even a deal with the SLA or they can get support (weopans) from the US of A. The basic game play will be like RTS2 or even more simpler. if the feedback comes positive i might make a new thread about this EDIT: Must be sleeping when i made this post, i think its in the wrong area, am i rite?
