Oh and we repainted the insides in a light pastel peach shade.

I added a script to make it blow up unexplainedly every 5 minutes or so.

About the Abrams

I like the way you added the Rucksacks on the turret.

Would it be posible to make them random, that would be a very nice effect(?). but maybe it will eat to much faces an polys.

Sorry if i want so much informations everytime but i really like the Abrams.

Are you thinking of this?

and i saw that the textures on the hummer are very highres..what size are the textures for them ? 1024x1024?

Regarding the new Abrams, shouldn't there be an M240 mounted over the loader's hatch?  rock.gif

Has Sigma changed the elevation of the M2 since the last batch of screenies? It was pretty much horizontal before and now it is facing upwards at about 45 degrees. Just my opinion but I preferred it horizontal. Also, most of the M1's you see on the news etc have their .50's horizontal. Since there isn't any issue of the M2 passing through anyone turned out of the loaders hatch in OFP (like there was with Sigma's Russian tanks when the gunner was turned out) would you consider changing it back? Pretty please. sad_o.gifsmile_o.gif

don´t know something is weird...

The moment I saw this pictrure, my first though was "something's wrong about it". And now I also know what is wrong about it; Thw front weel is located to far to the back. It should be placed more to the front. Also the bonnet should be almost flat, yours goes up in a high angle towards the windshield. The front should be lifted a little so that bonnet is positioned in a more horizontal position. These are the only two things that are really wrong. I hope you can change this a little (the weels shouldn't be a problem).

Answers about the Desert Pack

@Sexp - First off you need your eyes checking tounge_o.gif , as the model shape is identical to the BIS one. The cab is the same height, the model is the same length... But to be honest I dont see how you can make such sweeping statements based on a few pictures...

Yes the kit is random, and no, making it random does not add any more faces to the model...

No the textures arent ultra high res, most of them are 256x256, some of them are even less...

And about the mine plough on the Abrams it MAY make an appearance in the pack, but NOTHING is definate yet.

@Munger - I changed the angle of the M2, as I think it gives the tank a more "lifelike" feel to it.

The mounted M240 MAY be on the loaders hatch, it depends what the final poly counts are like.

@Cpt. FrostBite - Again I cant see how you can make such statements based on one picture, which has an "interesting" camera angle. This is what the side on view of the model ACTUALLY looks like:

And a close up of that, the first red line (from the left shows the front of the hummer (without the bullbars) the second red line shows the front of the wheel relative to that.

hmm, sorry to bas, I later noticed that I overlooked that the camera ghas indeed a strange view (and that I ovelooked that the bonnet is not viewed axactly from the side)

On the picture you showed it's dead-on (which means I was wrong)

on the weels however; TJ and you seem to disagree with eachother. Take a good look to the picture he liknked to and the postion of the front weel. You can see that weel should actually be positioned at the first red line (actually even a little further to the front. The front weel actually goes further than the bonnet)

The only thing I noticed is the white insignia doesnt follow the countour of the door, then again, sometimes I'm a neatest biggrin_o.gif

Thats because its a swapable texture, the same as the armpatches on the Deltas/Rangers. So that the vehicles can be customised to whatever unit/division you wish.

Plus that is only a temporary texture, so that I know the hidden slections are or are not working wink_o.gif

Good guess.

In fact all we did was take the BIS Blackhawk, shave off a few faces to make it draw faster, and put some funky new wheels on it, and a big red badge that says

"MH60K SF Helo"

Oh and we repainted the insides in a light pastel peach shade.

The only special feature it has is that it is NOT 1.46 compatible, and I added a script to make it blow up unexplainedly every 5 minutes or so.

I worked hard to make sure you get the ammo bug whenever you add or remove ammo from it, and there are several missing textures that we cant be arsed to sort out.

We didnt bother texturing the cockpit as nobody flies in first person anyway, and it doesnt seem to handle very well, we probably misplaced the C of G, but we can live with that.

The real good thing is that the enemy dont engage the MH60, in fact, when you get out of it you are not viewed as an enemy either, so you can just go round killing whoever with impunity, cool feature huh?

Uncle Sam, you can stop reading now, I know it's an effort.
