jone_kone 158 Posted April 13, 2017 As it seems quite certain that Orange DLC will be a "Humanitarian" DLC, are there still people that would be interested in a High Command DLC? Basically a DLC with a reworked/improved AI that would enable a Commander to play Arma as a RTS against players? Currently ZEUS enables some of this functionality, but the lacking AI and "commands" in the Zeus interface doesn´t make it an enjoyable experience. Interestingly, with a human commander you could even dumb down the AI bit to "just do as I say" and have the player micromanage the AI.
graemeshute 218 Posted April 13, 2017 I want a orange potsman's Bicycle or stealth ops that has scroll wheel option for selecting gears. Who needs new vehicles and stuff. Oh and it needs to have unlockable big bobble head OFP characters.
sasha013 225 Posted April 15, 2017 The icon for the Orange DLC looks like a handshake with, what seems to be, wings coming from each end? Will this premium addition consist of some new air vehicles, maybe something to do with civilian factions? It is mentioned that the DLC "stands somewhere in between the Arma 3 Karts and Arma 3 Helicopters/Marksmen/Jets/Tanks DLC." It doesn't mean much, but I think it could mean vehicles and/or units, in a scale between 'totally military' to 'irrelevant to the battlefield', that lie somewhere in-between - hence Civilian? But you need to leave your mom's basement to actually meet them. Too bad that after spending 4k hours in Arma I forgot where the stairs at. :C 2 hours ago, sasha013 said: Agreed, women or female characters would be a great addition. Good catch, women and female characters would have been way too much for us to handle. Concerning the DLC, I can't get rid of the word "diplomacy" popping in my head each time I look at the icon. I mean, there is a circle (point? area? group?) and the shaking hands which represents an agreement. I'd say that it would be a new gamemode or mechanics but it isn't possible to package either in the DLC form with current BI policy.
slatts 1978 Posted April 15, 2017 I have a feeling it's some sort of peacekeeping/peace enforcing based DLC.

Wouldn't get my hopes up on a new game mode, but what @slatts mentioned might be quite feasible.
fn_Quiksilver 1636 Posted April 15, 2017 Similar icon is shown twice in arma game files the Help task in CfgTaskTypes and also some Trident thing common guess is some civilian humanitarian stuff.
ravendk 25 Posted April 16, 2017 It could be somthing air-mobile-something im thinking something like the impact of the helicopter based units during 'nam' maybe ? (not that it is nam based ofc)
silentghoust 132 Posted April 17, 2017 My guess is civilian in nature. As always, I'm always up to fleshing out each faction with badly needed assets. The civilian department is no diffrent. Flushing out the emergency crew/vehicle/decoration would be a HUGE+ for Altis. Seeing that wonderful hospital they made get proper beds, desk, doctors, ambulances, ect. would be fantastic.
St. Jimmy 272 Posted April 17, 2017 Quiksilver in Discord noticed that "Help" task type icon looks kid of the same but the ORANGE one has wings on it. Can be found in A3\ui_f\data\igui\cfg\simpleTasks\types\help_ca.paa So some kind of a winged aid and helping it likely is. It kind of reminds of humanitarian aid, winged medic squad or the logo just means helping hands and the wings are like angel wings and IMO that's what medics are. So it's likely some kind of a medical thing. Many shooter games don't really touch deeply medical help. Could be civilian, military or both. BIS likely liked the MANW Healthcare In Danger winner Pilot Civilian Air Rescue On Mission by RobJ2210 so maybe there's inspiration from there or just generally there could be some inspiration from International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) missions. Of course orange tanned women would be nice addition

Maybe the mini-campaign entails arranging a treaty between CSAT and NATO or escorting diplomats to said treaty conference, and the new items include armored escorts, politician clothes, and speaking podiums!
Japo32 17 Posted April 25, 2017 The work has to almost be done, so whatever we say they are not going to change their minds... But if it is not, I would like to see a future medic DLC. ACE3 makes a medic systema that is not bad, but it hides a revive system if you want people to be unconscious. And that is bad, because EPA alwasy revive them. And for our team that the principle rule is 1 life only, it is breaking the gameplay if the mission editors don't change that revive option. A Medic DLC with a medic helicopter and ambulance. With systems to heal, where the buyer of the DLC can be a doctor but not the non buyers, which they can see the assets, would be a great addition to the game. By the way: Please solve the mouse cursor movement lag in 64bits version. I found another user with the same problem... and we changed everything to solve it, but it has to come from Bohemia the bug (everytime the cursor is on screen.. if we move it, the frames fall to 2-5 fps. And only in 64bits. 32bits is perfect)

toiletuser 29 Posted April 26, 2017 some allied faction with new vehicles, could be civilian!
teabagginpeople 398 Posted April 26, 2017 Well going by the pattern of dlc. so far all the dlc has been upgrading or adding features asked for in arma3 , sometimes using player wishlists. Quickfire Helicopters Afm, sling loading , marksmen bi pods. Apex a proper jungle map, vtol. Jets radar sensors overhaul, hitpoints. tanks interiors, proper phyx, top down titan. Orange for me would be medic system overhaul that has been asked for. Basically CSAR. some new assets like a heli , jeep, truck, behind the paywall.
Antilochos 106 Posted April 28, 2017 Although they said there will be no women for Arma 3, I'm still hoping those Amsterdam boys put some work in it and suprise us with women. It's just weird to have these islands full of men and no women. Especialy if they go "humanitarion" or "civilian" route with the Orange dlc, women would give it a substantial boost of story quality.

Maio 293 Posted May 5, 2017 Well the logo kinda looks like the Syrian Revolution Command Council's logo, which is linked to the notorious "White Helmets" http://21stcenturywire.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/white-helmet-infographic-2.jpg https://static1.squarespace.com/static/56b625dd45bf21b401326901/t/56b7959bb4ed3bb6303b56e7/1454881629814/SRCC-Logo.jpg
