wacko 26 Posted August 6, 2014 The Idea of an interactive cockpits have been brought up but that's where it stands. We don't know yet what the DLC will bring us so we are really waiting on that to see what we want to do to what we can do. As far as the copilot goes they will have stuff they can do. more so in the DAP :D
warlord554 2065 Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) Wacko said it best. We have discussed many different features. And as developing continues we will try to include as many cool things as possible Edited August 6, 2014 by WarLord554

Bamse 223 Posted August 6, 2014 Interactive cockpits will not be a part of the DLC it seems :( http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?181550-Advanced-Helicopter-FDM-Feedback&p=2746866&viewfull=1#post2746866 The counter-question was if tools were be to released so the community atleast could give it a shot; answer was straight up nope :( http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?181550-Advanced-Helicopter-FDM-Feedback&p=2746939&viewfull=1#post2746939 However. This mod looks mindblowingly good. Can't wait for release! :D
warden_1 1070 Posted August 7, 2014 Yes, but Bamse Feint was able to make an interactive cockpit and more recently the AH64 and A10 addons had clickable cockpits so the possibility to include it is there.
Bamse 223 Posted August 8, 2014 Very aware of that :) Just informing that BI won't make it easier or much different from how it is now since Wacko were waiting for information regarding that ;)

Donut_10 10 Posted August 22, 2014 Quick check in on progress, are you guys going to working in Shadow's combat overhaul mod to allow for different launch modes for hellfires on the DAP? Or are you going to be doing your own?
wacko 26 Posted August 22, 2014 We are going to be making our own. We don't want our mod to be dependent on other mod's..

Subscyed 10 Posted August 24, 2014 A few ideas popped in my mind and I couldn't resist asking: 1. Will it be possible to choose the position in the cargo as a passenger? 2. Will the aircraft feature Bohemia's firing from vehicles addition? (This one's meant more for the blackhawk than the littlebird or chinook) Thanks in advance. wacko 26 Posted August 24, 2014 Answer to the first question. It hasn't been brought up, But I like that idea and ill bring it up and go from there. As for the second question. Yes we want the ability to fire from the helo's
Subscyed 10 Posted August 29, 2014 Something has been brought up to my attention regarding helicopters and their behaviour/interaction with the ground and it's an aspect that could make or break mods as additions to the game. Will the airframes made available via this project crumple upon impact rather than outright exploding? (Think Franze's & NODUnit's Apache damage model vs Vanilla ArmA 3) It would make crash landings that much more valuable and overall safer. Not to mention it would restore a great deal of trust in those few but very competent helo pilots out there.
wacko 26 Posted August 29, 2014 We are trying to keep it real as possible.....
warlord554 2065 Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) As wack stated realism is high priority, whether its model related, features, sounds, etc. we have discussed pushing the bar on almost every aspect of the mod, rest assured when feature testing begins we will test every limit of the game engine. We also have to weigh everything from framerates to simplicity(we want every level of gamer to be immersed, from regular flying to die hard pilots) Being special operations aircraft, survivability is vital to mission success. For us it starts in the air with various forms of countermeasures, functional terrain following radar, lower IR signature, etc. We will also.try our best to replicate that in features such as wrecking, making it as real as possible Keep in mind also that the Apache is designed to have higher survivability for the crew than a blackhawk, but we def feel the same as you that a helo shouldnt just vaporize upon impact with a skilled pilot. Mission planning plays a huge role also. Study your terrain, pick a concealed flight path. Gather Intel on enemy counter defenses. Fly at night when possible. Split your team into two helos. Never fly solo. Arrange DAP escorts when possible. Learn your aircraft and countermeasure systems. Clan crews need to practice as much as possible, your crew needs to operate in a unified manner. Last but not least, don't forget to smile when you vaporize the enemy ;) Edited August 29, 2014 by WarLord554
R. Brown 10 Posted August 30, 2014 One thing that has always got me is the lack of lighting, granted I am an idiot when it comes to config but is there a way to make the lights actually look like collision lights with the correct strobe intensity? And maybe that teal and red interior lighting?
warlord554 2065 Posted August 30, 2014 No question is a dumb question man :) Cabin lighting is planned, and easily accomplished. We will try to minimize exterior light exposure also(no point in having cabin lights if the enemy clearly sees a comet streaking across the sky) Strobe intensity will be fully tested(along with all lighting) to ensure realistic exposures Landing lights will also be utilized on the belly(but will not automatically enable when fastroping)
warlord554 2065 Posted September 1, 2014 Wanted to share our newest development with you guys. Sniper variants! Still in development stage, we will release more info regarding features and weapons in the future

wansec_6 200 Posted September 1, 2014 I wonder how long before Warlord and the team get demands for release dates like Fuller did? The work is looking great guys. Keep it up please.
Subscyed 10 Posted September 1, 2014 Sniper variants? That is -very- interesting actually... it also answered the question I was going to ask. Darn! I take it the weapon displayed is merely placeholder for the players actual weapon, though? Also, will the wire be a surface so weapon-resting mods work?
