james2464 176 Posted December 20, 2011 RC4 doesn't fix Jayarma2lib 1.4.36 problem apparently with steam users. "JayArma2Lib: Incompatible version of Arma2 or unable to check version."
sickboy 13 Posted December 20, 2011 RC4 doesn't fix Jayarma2lib 1.4.36 problem apparently with steam users."JayArma2Lib: Incompatible version of Arma2 or unable to check version." A newer version of the game requires a new version of JayArma2lib, so logically a new game version isn't going to resolve anything. And should be unrelated to Steam, but simply to if the user does or doesn't run a compatible version. Currently the last compatible version is v1.60.87305: ftp://downloads.bistudio.com/arma2.com/update/beta/ARMA2_OA_Build_87305.zip

Beagle 684 Posted December 20, 2011 Thank you very much BIS for the range finder and manual gun range input for the T-90...it was about time but I had given up all hope you would add it one day. But a bit of nagging...you could also have added TI ;)
bars91 956 Posted December 20, 2011 I bet they are saving some stuff for 1.61(at least I hope) so that they can get 1.60 out ASAP.
katipo66 94 Posted December 20, 2011 Im probably just being really hopeful or is the AI a bit more clever? after installing this patch i noticed infantry using cover more? also seemed like they stayed in and fired from forested areas as opposed to running out in the open? IN fact the A.I. changes are so plenty that I don't know where to start.
Xirow 10 Posted December 20, 2011 Checked the repro missions and death camera is still stuttering but somebody already posted that in the ticket.

nikiforos 450 Posted December 20, 2011 Sorry for asking but is there any improvement in performance? I wait for the final patch so I would like to know. Thank you
maturin 12 Posted December 20, 2011 What do you mean performance? The game has been optimized so that there is no longer a generalized problem in this regard. Maybe certain trees still cause too much lag, but the game runs quite well on minimum reqs PCs.
kremator 1065 Posted December 20, 2011 (edited) Starting to get some freezing of the game (but no crashes in RPT). Never had this before this RC (and its same number beta). Will investigate more and post here. I am using vanilla with Isla Duala and the same mission. EDIT: Seems to be something to do with the SMAA injector. Have removed it and game is fine. PS STILL getting Cannot load sound 'ca\dubbingradio_e\radio\male01tk\default\weapons\machinegun.ogg' constantly throughout the RPT. Please look at this one! PPS Anyone else get a loud crashing sound when 2 vehicles collide SOMEWHERE on the map, when you are in COIN camera view ? KeyCat 131 Posted December 20, 2011 it's out now in beta 87524 Downloading! Sorry for asking but is there any improvement in performance? I haven't done any scientific performance tests but on my rig I gained approx ~10% in performance compared to 1.59. /KC
munger 25 Posted December 21, 2011 Got a strange issue with the 1.60 version of Arma 2/OA as Combined Ops. It appears that when running the Steam version of Combined Ops, any mods in the game directory will automatically be loaded, even if 'Set Launch Options' in Steam is empty. Is this supposed to happen now?
