welcome to hell 23 Posted September 11, 2011 (edited) Any Chance of adding hipfire? In combat jog when player is not looking through the iron sights the weapon would be lowered to the hip. Weapon would be at the hip at all times except when player looks through the sights. Similar to this mod: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=3136 Watch the vid. Grenade blind fire Also please make blindfiring for grenades/lobbing work the same as blindfire for rifles. Usable without being next to a wall. I find locking onto a wall to be extremely cumbersome in PVP scenarios. While grenades selected: Turbo + Left/Right/Down. Will lob grenades: Left/Right/Up. Pistol Ability to temporarily lower pistol in combat jog by pressing stand up key (Like with the rifle) Also maybe an ability to lower pistol in order to sprint (Like with the rifle) in order to sprint and move about freely. Hipfiring pistol? :) :P Edited September 11, 2011 by Welcome To Hell
galzohar 31 Posted September 11, 2011 The hip firing isn't really done IRL nowadays with light weapons. Only with heavier weapons like M249s and M240s since those can't be easily and quickly held at the shoulder when you actually want to fire them.
Franklin 0 Posted September 11, 2011 Found an issue when trying to run up stairs. You normally wouldn't be able to run up these stairs in vanilla, but with SMK you can. However you take enough damage that 90% of the time it will kill you just going up or down the stairs once. Stairdeath
-CHLUCKi 10 Posted September 14, 2011 hehe...I would say thats a kind of stumbling. hadn't you learned: don't run on stairs ;)

ThreeProphets 10 Posted September 22, 2011 Smookie, let me just thank you for this amazing addon. This is one of those things I can't play the game without. Firefights are completely different when you're sliding into cover and ducking around wall corners, it's just so epic, and clears up those cheap death scenes when you fail to use the lean system. So much more useful.
Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted September 22, 2011 Is it possible to remove that feature if it is considered one, where when you run, and then want to stop, your character acts if he's losing his weapon, and then sort of stumbles on himself, and walks further then the initial supposed wanting to stop position, which has got me killed several time againsted AI. I find this feature annoying and pointless, as you actually keep moving when you want to stop.
JakeWed 10 Posted September 22, 2011 Well, it is Realistic, Try Running with Full Combat Gear Weight, you wont be able to stop instantly. Theirs a Rule to it also, If you dont need to run, then Dont run! You Should also be able to go from 'Sprint-Jog-Stop' Instead of 'Sprint-Trip-Stop'
Gunter Severloh 4067 Posted September 22, 2011 I like realism, but then in some instances I could care less. If your going to be realistic then apply the animation so that its dependent on having actual amount of gear in terms of weight, at a certain weight the animation will occur to simulate the inability to stop right away because of the weight, thats being more realistic then having the animation going when im only carrying a rifle. Implement this script to simulate this: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=12610
humvee28 10 Posted September 22, 2011 (edited) Can anyone please explain me how to do the Combat Roll? I´m jogging / sprinting, press turbo+prone, and the only thing that happens is that the Character throws himself on the Ground. Tested with OA 1.59, CBA and SMK to avoid Conflicts with other Mods. :( EDIT : Tested in the Editor. Works fine. But still not in the Tut Mission. humvee28 10 Posted September 22, 2011 I read always the Readme´s. :) It´s a Hardware Problem with my Kone Mouse. The Macros that i have recorded for the Turbo Key and assigned to my Thumb Button aren´t working for this. If i press the Button in the Steering Options it works. But not ingame. Tom1 10 Posted September 24, 2011 First of all, great mod. Thanks mate :) Can we please have a userconfig file with configerable controls. I myself have ctrl as my turbo key and I use it to sprint (sprints faster than 2xw) and I would like to be able to dive into prone from a sprint instead of combat role, which I will think of another key combo for. This would make the controls not only easier to remember for new SMK users but would make it a lot more user friendly.
indrid cole 10 Posted September 24, 2011 How can i move in this "Back to wall (Up against right shoulder):" position. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tf7KNSHtPI&feature=player_detailpage#t=108s I can only use one position with "back to wall"
galzohar 31 Posted September 25, 2011 You don't need userconfig since it uses controls that already exist in-game. Just change the keys in your game options menu. Since turbo has other uses than just sprinting, it's probably best to just bind sprint to whatever you want to use for sprinting and bind turbo for something else.
Tom1 10 Posted September 25, 2011 Well sprinting without using the turbo key is only like 4km/h faster than running (with weapon lowered, [i.e. 2x ctrl to lower weapon, not the stand key + jog forwards from smk 'running']. What I would like to do is change one combination: turbo + running + prone key. I want that to dive prone like in vanilla rather than combat role. Maybe sprinting + turbo key + stand key? I mean sprinting, then diving into prone is a very common move...

Reveal hidden contents Back to wall (Up against left shoulder): - move left: Backwards - move right: Forward - weapon round the corner: Left - turn around and aim weapon forward (only kneel): Right - blindfire right: Turbo + Left - blindfire overhead: Turbo + Right - peak around the corner: Turbo + Forward - go back to crouch: Crouch - Grenade round the corner: choose grenade and throw - Grenade overhead throw: Step Over - stand up: Stand - when standing, go to crouch: Stand Edited September 30, 2011 by CoolFire
Angus S 10 Posted October 16, 2011 Is there any way to completely disable sniper sit? it makes it impossible to command AI. other then that, incredible work
Wire 0 Posted October 17, 2011 Heya Angus, yeah Ive been asking about that for awhile now. But on the bright side, ive learnt a very handy trick :D It turns out that AIs only get stuck in sniper sit when they are in "STAY ALERT" status. Ive found out that they dont get stuck when in "DANGER" tho. So what I always do is command them to get to DANGER before I get them to "stay crouch". Havent tried "STEALTH" yet, but sure it should work too. Hope it helps :) its a nifty trick to temporarily solve the AI problem
Angus S 10 Posted October 17, 2011 So they'll only do it when I order them to crouch in aware mode?
Wire 0 Posted October 17, 2011 and maybe safe mode too. I just order them to stay standing and when I want them to crouch I order them to go to danger mode then crouch
