    hey Vdauphin, I am back with another problem. So I run the mission on a dedicated server and that thing runs 24/7. Today we started playing again and the issue is that we cannot search dead insurgents for intel anymore. It did work yesterday. We can however still interact with civis. I tried #restart and #mission as admin. Both did not fix the problem. Next I restarted the server and hc process on the dedicated server. Still no fix for our problem. Any idea how to fix this issue or what information do you need from me to investigate further?

    I have finally been able to play the latest RHS version (1.18.3) of the mission for a bit now with a small group (2-4 players). The following problems/questions did come up: 1) How can you refuel the cistern (big tank) on the fuel truck? 2) What is a good way to succeed at convoy missions? We seem not being able to predict the route so we cannot setup a ground ambush. Patrolling between start and end point with a helicopter was the only working solution. 3) Would it be possible to move the Sling loading "HUD on/off" and the "Hook" actions into the ACE self interaction menu or allow direct keybinds for it. I guess you cannot use the vanilla sling loading system? 4) I assume it is not possible to have multiple logistics points so you can have additional ones at FOBs? thx again for the mission.

    https://github.com/Vdauphin/HeartsAndMinds/wiki/Change-MAP-of-Hearts-and-Minds apart from stuff falling through the carrier I do not expect any issues ;) If you want to change your own faction you can replace the vehicles, just make sure to name them correctly. I am not sure how well this will work though. Since you have to do patrolling you will need a pilot on standby.

    remove the arsenal as described in the readme. edit the mission with eden put down an object (e.g. supply box) in your base that you want to be the arsenal. doubleclick the box. go to equipment storage. clear under default. finally make sure it is cleared under virtual and tick everything you want to provide to the players. hope this helps.

    [ALiVE, ACE, COOP, MP] Restrepo

    hello there. I am struggling to get my dedicated server to save the progress. I use tadst to setup a ds on my local network. I think it is a general issue with understanding how saving works in the alive mod and I would ask on the alive forums but since I am testing with your mission and I am not sure if you set up something that prevents my "save method" from working so I thought I'd ask here first. So I have persistence enabled in tadst and I use "Server Save & Exit" from the "esc" menu. that disconnects everyone but after a restart the progress is gone. Since we respawn in the original spawns and all the zones are red again I think there is no progress saved. I do currently not use the warroom/@aliveServer mod. 1) is my assumption of the red/green zones as a progression indicator correct? 2) is the only way to get saving working to either edit your mission or use the "cloud-save" way or am I missing something else? thx for your missions!

    mission sounds awesome. However I cannot launch it :| I downloaded from the workshop. When I try to host it locally there are no playerslots available. When I try to start it through the scenarios it won't start. I tried with and without CBA and Ace compatibility patches. no luck. Is this an individual issue for me?
  11. so, how's the load distribution on your ryzen cpu then?
  12. This video is quite old. however it does show, a somewhat distribution of the load on the threads for the intel cpus while it fails to do that on the Ryzen. Would be interesting to see if the autodetect works in the newest version of the game and/or if overriding the cpu settings (ht, exthreads, cpucount, etc.) changes this behaviour. Maybe one of you ryzen owners could try that. also:

    hey Vdauphin and other players of the mission, I have 2 questions: 1) How do you guys deal with civis and civilian cars, specificially how do you search civs and civilians for IEDs? 2) I feel that very often the civilians do not respond to orders, especially when telling them to "go away" after a "halt" order. Can people confirm this is happening to them, too? 3) Regarding the database: if I switch off autosave in the parameters saves will only be created when an admin manually saves?; will renaming the mission pbo file break the save? I did not understand how and where the database is saved by looking at your code ;)

    tested the latest malden RC with a few buddies. Only real issue I had were the jets on the carrier. All besides one were glichting into the deck which rendered them unusable as they would not move. My SL noticed a function to put down a FOB but was not able to do so; might have been due to us not fully understanding the mechanic behind it. Also it is very unfortunate that there is no way to save your progress. It is quite tough to make a meaningfull progress in one session with a small group. I believe you stated somewhere in this thread it was not possible for you to provide a save feature.
  15. Could you elaborate on what modules/triggers to use in the Eden Editor to have civs not spawn in a zone (e.g. in and around main base)? guess I was blind before. "Ambient Units (Restrict)"

    The long watch

    just gave it a quick try with one buddy. used tfar and ace and had no issues. I am saying that because the original Combat Patrol did not work with tfar when we last tried it. We played through one mission where we had to laser designate vtols. Second mission we got was laser designate bunkers. Hopefully next time the dice roll will give us more variety ;) thx for sharing :)

    [COOP] Zenophon's Mini Co-op Missions Pack

    So I just found your framework and it looks really nice. Before digging into the tutorials I wanted to try yours "mini-missions". However we had issues. First I thought it was because of our mods, but we eventually disabled all mods. Convoy worked fine. no issues at all. The missions checkpoint, vendetta and shootout all the same problem. If my mate selects another role then the team leader role he spawns as a seagull. When he selected team leader the mission started normal. We also had issues with tfar when we were using mods. On all maps except convoy tfar was not enabled for the joining player. I was hosting the server locally and tfar was working for me. Will try dedicated server next. /edit: so I just gave it a quick go with the dedicated server, no mods: When I select the team leader role I spawn normally but I have no control over the AI. When I select a rifleman role I have the same problem as before: instead of map I see "cannot connect to positioning system" and Mission failes. I only tried Checkpoint.
  18. awesome tool. thx for releasing this. I wanted to import an html file from the launcher for the mods but your program complained about not finding the mods.cfg. I created it manually, tried again and it worked.

    I am pretty sure it was not showing it in the action menu. I also remember the when pressing the Ace Start Engine Button it would start for a split second and turn off again.

    I am testing this mission for my small group since it is the only dynamic mission I can find that supports Ace and TFAR. I have issues with the broken down truck/deliveries mission. I go to the truck and replace the wheel so all 4 wheels are good. next I get in the truck but cannot start it up. All systems are white and it has fuel. What else do I need to do? I did set all ACE3 Repair parameters to Anyone. I spawned in as an Engineer and drove the hemtt repair truck to the broken down truck, repaired engine, repaired tyres. not sure what else to do so it starts moving again.

    tried opening the mission in editor and got an error message about "WW2_Core_c_Gui_c" missing. Googling pointed me towards IFA3_Lite (which comes with a bunch of other dependencies). Loading the IFA mod fixed the error message for me. Prior to that I had already activated all of the RHS mods.
