    All shoulder launched weapons (apart from the RPG) need a lock. I use the T key. However this does not excuse that fact that even when you have almost FULL view of the hot vehicle it does not lock (doesnt matter what key you press :) )

  5. When Arma4 comes out, that is when they will allow use of Arma3 models ..... it has always been thus. Why would BIS trust you not to release? Sorry mate ... you wait.

    The lack of lock is when there is the tiniest bit of foliage in the way ! It does need to be fixed. I remember the Javelin mod that allowed top down attacks ... it allowed you to have LOS onto a tank/car/building/even troops (with AP round) (beeping) then LOCK (soild tone). I think this is why AT are so ineffective. AT on a battlefield should scare tanks ... at present you just hide a tiny bit of your hot vehicle and you won't be locked.

    I'd not be surprised that the chopper blows up ... you'll also be a little mushy after the rotors have finished with you!

    Very nice indeed. Can the soldiers use headlamps AND rifle torches too ? Would be cool to see how AI are scanning a scene and where they are pointing their rifles in the dark :)

  13. Just wanted to say how impressed I am with the 64 bit binaries (and the improvements to performance client and server files). I'm consistently running a mission with 192 AI and getting 45-49FPS on the server at all times. I can remember this only giving about 15FPS back in the olden days ! So well done BIS !
  14. Hmmm not sure. I would doubt it. I just tried it again on Altis and no issues at all. Seems to be quite random.
  15. I've been playing a LOT of TC over the weekend. Looks like vanilla is generally fine - plays very well with 192 AI. However, when I put CBA + ASR_AI onto the server, I got the black screen waiting for initialisation. I wonder what can be going on ? EDIT: Playing perfectly on Altis on my server atm :)

    Well I've been playing the Takistan mission all day on the dedi server. Enabled AI and AI commander, and all slots playable by AI. Only very rarely did it drop beneath 49FPS !!!!
  19. I wonder if he means that clients don't need the mod but the server does. That's the way I read it.

  21. Good man. I'll see about having my server up all day today. Edit: just had a couple of shower thoughts. What about adding the new USS Freedom as eye candy off the island? Also would it be possible to add (or replace) a soldier as a Zeus? Not to add anything but to act as voyeur.... I love watching AI do their thing.

    Lowering the number of connections in Steam settings does fix it. Put it on the minimum setting.
