galzohar 31 Posted June 7, 2010 Of coruse having night sights will only serve a purpose once both night and the current NVGs are simulated more realistically. Right now on most weather and lighting conditions at night you'll find yourself running into trees and stuff (which does not happen IRL even during the darkest no-moon nights), and with the current NVGs you can aim all weapon sights including ironsights, while IRL it's pretty much impossible to aim any weapon sights with the NVGs currently in the game, especially not iron sights. I wish someday NVGs are simulated more realistically so that night sights (including IR laser sights) will have their place. And then of course we'd need some sort of a script to "change the sight" on your weapon (basically removing the weapon and adding a different variant of it will suffice) to change from night to day sights. C-zom 10 Posted June 7, 2010 I've made sure the log and install path are correct in the Vanilla settings, I've deleted Arma 2 and reinstalled it, same with the sixupdater, made sure no firewall or AV is running and did a clean slate reinstall of both by deleting everything in roaming/local, my documents and all left over registry files for both. It simply will not budge and always gives me the access/sync error.
Nephris1 10 Posted June 7, 2010 Is there anywhere a solid and working classlist for ACE? The web based list is well meant, for sure, but not really comfortable. A list like Wolle created for Vanilla would be great. Is there anywhere a list like that?
sickboy 13 Posted June 7, 2010 (edited) How do you mean, what kind of list/format are you looking for? http://browser.dev-heaven.net/cfg_weapons/classlist http://browser.dev-heaven.net/cfg_vehicles/classlist Should give you all needed for missions etc, grouped, filtered or everything on a single page (set filters to empty, and click change), other options in the menu even provide searching. Plus they always contain the latest information. I see the .csv export is not outputting very useful stuff, i'll fix that up soon. Some more details here: http://ace.dev-heaven.net/wagn/Classlists and improvements are being made almost every day. Edited June 7, 2010 by Sickboy

Smurf 12 Posted June 8, 2010 Then stick to the bigger, better original file, which you were using til last Friday. ACE´s light version of those suberb units is just one more option to those not willing to download the full package. About those custom hats (damm, looks like Im talking about TF2 now..), unless ACE guys do (more) heavy scripting or change all others models, is not going to happen. Why? You choose one nice looking hat in your profile, but plays as a OPFOR. Result? Clipping in the model! Really, until last friday you had "nothing" and now that you have, are you complaining? C´mon... sick1 13 Posted June 8, 2010 Well I guess it's canned for the ace users of my campaigns unless ardvarkdb releases an Ace compatible version that's not watered down. The questions is compatibility. Oh and I'm not complaining unless Sick boy says I am.
ardvarkdb 104 Posted June 8, 2010 I will be releasing an updated version 1.2 of the SEALs soon that will include an ACE config for those who wish to use all of the original files and the headgear. For those who do not want to download the entire package they will be able to just use the SEALs that are included within ACE X as a more streamlined package. . guttersnipe 1 Posted June 8, 2010 Enjoying the mod immensely . . Just a quickie question - had a look through the six updater files & can't seem to see anywya of exporting my settings so that I can send them to other people (even less computer literate than myself!). Is there a user config file, or one availible for each 'mod collection' I create ? Sry if wrong place to post.

Is there a user config file, or one availible for each 'mod collection' I create ? Sry if wrong place to post. Glad you're enjoying! There are 2 files of importance with Six-Updater: Six-Updater.yml (this is a small task file that tells the console updater what to do) The Database (this contains all information on mods/servers/presets etc) To use the console updater, only the six-updater.yml is required, however you're missing some cool features from the web-updater, incl. joining a server with all required mods, or being able to enjoy 'auto-skip' which only runs through the whole mod check+update procedure if the mod actually has been updated online. Where to find the files is documented here: http://six.dev-heaven.net/wagn/Six_Updater_Suite+Overview#Configuration%20database%20/%20log%20files

PacX 10 Posted June 8, 2010 Suggestion: No offence to the developers of 6-updater, but it's horrible. I highly recommend/suggest that the ACE developers switch over to SVN, due to more functionality, easier to use and doesn't require starting a program, waiting for a browser tab to open and then a slow DL to start. I've also noticed that even when a small change is made, 6-updater seems to download stuff again (weapons etc, please correct me if I'm wrong). SVN does not do this, it's also got a more fancy GUI <
