soul_assassin 1750 Posted November 17, 2009 Whaaat? no toolbox for 3dsmax of the year award? :P tsk tsk :D
Guest Posted November 17, 2009 lol are you fishing for something :p No lol, i am serious :D I mean, have you seen sincovers' work? He is probably the most talented after effects/composition editor in the Arma 2 community, Mr Sarkey has some epic movies based of scripts, and if anyone has heard of him, this guy called vagabon on youtube has the most emotional video's you will ever see. I look up to all these people, as they deserve alot more recognision than they get! Maybe all of the video editing community could put all their different skills together, to create one super badass movie!

Herbal Influence 10 Posted November 18, 2009 (edited) In my post above where I asked to nominate Tophes video and song I forgot to mention that the videomakers should also be nominated ... but I could only identify Richiespeed as one of the contributors. The other one "lq lite" ? is not really visible to me for youtube wants me urgently to sign up to his videochannel just to watch his identity and other videos ... :-( which I will never do. tj72 0 Posted November 18, 2009 I think the fact that (some or all) the winners of the last one of these didnt get their prizes is shameful. :( I know I would feel PO'd if it were me....
icebreakr 3156 Posted November 18, 2009 Biggest prize is to see how many people enjoy A2 with your added work. Screw awards :)
Mr Sarkey 0 Posted November 18, 2009 There will never be enough awards to go around, there are so many people in the community who deserve a good mention. People who have been here since day one with OFP etc etc etc
sparks50 0 Posted November 18, 2009 I hope the previous winners will not be taking part this time? The awards should be spread out to more people :)
paragraphic l 2 Posted November 18, 2009 If ACE2 isn't released before 01Dec or 31Dec I guess we will have a nice and spread result. Dont you guys think the same? But yeah there could be more different categories, even if they don't give prizes! More people should get 'official' recognition for what they do :)
Joona 10 Posted November 18, 2009 I wont get my campaing completed before 31 december:(

NoRailgunner 0 Posted November 19, 2009 Back to topic Keep checking www.bistudio.com for actual information. There is still no official statement from BIS and no news about the "Bohemia Interactive Community Awards 2009" on http://www.arma2.com/ :confused:Guess they will delay it until the next non-beta patch is done & released and announce it as "Bohemia Interactive Community Awards 2009/2010". Or they wait till Operation Arrowhead is released and going to top the Oscar/EMI Awards :D
mattxr 9 Posted November 19, 2009 At the end of the day people will vote what "they" think is the best addon. What "they" have had the best experience with. And it works like this, the more votes an addon gets the higher up the lists it will be and who gives a shit if no one votes for your addons/missions etc just pretend you never seen this competition and dont break a sweat over it. Gedis 0 Posted November 19, 2009 can't wait to vote, but it's good that there is time to check out more campaings, etc. for a bigger knowledge and stronger oppinion in choosing each category ;) btw, are there any prizes for randomly generated voters? W0lle 1050 Posted November 19, 2009 Ok cleaned up this mess. Here we talk about the upcoming community awards. We do not talk about politics, not about communism vs. capitalism. We also don't care what happened over at flashpoint.ru as this ain't our business here. If someone doesn't agree with them, simply stay away. :) Back on topic now, mkay? Mark XIII (DayZ) 18 Posted November 20, 2009 So can I suggest the Awards are expanded alittle to cater for ALL aspects of modding done by our community :)
pj[cz] 2 Posted November 21, 2009 Mark certainly does have a point I think while not giving away more physical awards they can give some recognition by splitting up the categories more. I mean you can create a category addons and divide it into sound/units/vehicles/adjustements/enviroment/ballistics etc etc... And there could still be only one general winner across the addons category (the one with most votes) while tehre wil be others recognised as winners in their area of interest. ACE for example has the potential to win that but ACE can win overall and still other people will get credit or their best island/soldier/tank they produced
paragraphic l 2 Posted November 22, 2009 what PJ says also has a big benefit to creating an easy acces list of all the quality addons that are out there. Not that people shouldn't try others that weren't nominated, but not everybody is on the scene all the time.

Yup, was one of my points, but i kinda forgot to add it to the post (must have been that beer i drunk yesterday). That way the competition will generate a pretty decent list of addons to test as a side effect. I for one am getting kinda lost in all those beatyfull addons released and often stumble upon something spectacular long time after it was released, because I somehow missed its release... Placebo 29 Posted December 31, 2009 I R one of those :) And did you contact me about it? As far as I'm aware there were two people missing prizes and their details have been passed on again to Jennik.
Potatomasher 0 Posted January 5, 2010 (edited) Final voting has started if someone doesn't already know it. Though some of the nominees are a bit strange IMO. I would have thought Sumrak's Namalsk island and JTD fire & smoke mod or some sound mod like Vopsound or Hifi would have gotten there too, but no. [GLT] Legislator 66 Posted January 5, 2010 I can't believe my 140 min. minutes ArmA movie made it into the voting :D Thank you @ all supporters. You'll get 'The Crate III' one day, I promise ;) Next time with a darker story, in full HD and again at least 140 min. length :D Give me 3 years to create it lol.
