status from the test guys(or OS-friends) ?:D

(this constant asking is considered 'nagging' and is like standing over someone's shoulder asking "Is it done yet?... When will it be done?... Why are you taking so long?... I want it... Is it done yet?...)

Patience. Any new relevant info I'm sure O.S. will divulge when it's verified. He is after all making this wonderful piece of code FOR US.

Ok here is the community beta pre-release 1.4, its not the full 1.4 as it does not contain the 3 other versions which are the mud,snow & lite. This version is still the dusty version, just to make that clear. The other versions should released later on in the month.

Ok this version is an almost complete overhaul from 1.3 changing many effects and fixing many problems.

This was supposed to be released a couple of weeks ago but.... just before i was doing my final checks i found some very big problems, which ofcourse caused some rather annoying issues which needed to be fixed, this postponed the release of the mod and the other versions currently in the works.

However i think all these problems have now been fixed and the mod is ready for a sorta beta release to the public, it was quickly tested over the weekend by some good community members to make sure that anything i might have overlooked has indeed been fixed.

However i will state that the purpose for this release is to help find any issues or bugs and give some general suggestions towards the mod and any improvements that might be made.

Anyway thats my word on the release, and i hope everything goes well this time... :)

Yeh theres been some changes the heli-dust and vehicle dust has been reduced those errors u found have been fixed also and the bullet impacts effects have been improved.

Also i fixed some issues with the smoke from weapons i only just noticed this as im so used to running with my other mods such as the muzzleflashes i noticed i forgot to turn this off and when i did noticed there was a problem. But ive just quickly fixed that so u might wanna redownload as ive updated the file quickly and the links :o

Hi OS thanks for the beta release, although i cant play because im getting that stupid Invalid crew civilian error I wasnt getting it before I added this.

I think its an issue with the UH1Y or AH64D how can I fix this?

Ah thanks OS. Gotta say I've fallen in love with the FFAR effects, they look amazing :eek:

Could you elaborate on how the "mud, snow & lite" versions will work?

Not sure if it's the WarFX, but watching a BTR-90 zig zag a konkurs missile at me while i watched it through my DMR scope was.....pretty :O

Everything else looks top notch so far, i look forward to the next update.

yeah still cant get the new version to work, WarFX in my mod line causes the

Invalid Crew Civilian error than an instant CTD

Game works fine without WarFX on.

Whats wrong? How is it working for everyone else? :confused:

I also want to point out that i have the latest version of CBA.

More than likely there's a conflict in there somewhere. Good luck trying to find it. :p

Try not using some of those other mods and add them one at a time to see which one creates the conflict.

Hi, After trying the Beta I got same CTD like Flash Thunder,"invalid civilian crew" and had Arma running only with CBA and WarFX beta. Dont think its CBA cause I tried it with CBA 0.3 and with CBA 0.3.1 and got CTD. WarFX 1.3

works fine for me but the beta dont.

The new effects are realy good i like it and have no problems yet with cba and ace2

But the light blizzard effects by grenade explosions in the night is to small i think...by many grenades have no light effects in the night:(

and the bullet hit dusk from rifles is to small at distance.

I will be testing ...see later

Nice, might want to tone down on the black-smoke effects in a lot of the explosions.

Not sure of this though, but does the mod add some kind of blood splurt-thing that only shoots out in one direction (regardless of shot position)?

And finally

Nice sparks, might want some randomization in the lifetimes of them however.

Overall, very nice :D

I Fixed the problem by removing WarFXVeh.pbo... to fix ErrorMessage: Invalid crew Civilian problem...

WarFXVeh.pbo needs an alteration to work without errors or crashing Arma 2....
