Vilas released 4 new addons today:

* Polish army and Police version 2 (first release was 2009, now generaly reworked)

* West weapons pack

* East Weapons pack

* Characters / Weapon holders

It also contains weapon holders - which are not a competition to other mods, (it would be stupid if USMC soldier holds Gali, and CDF holds 9A91). They are "look-a-likers" to real armies using those weapons, also squads and platoons are organized to fast and easy make battles. Of course the release of these addons would not be possible without the big help of Cervo and Foxhound (hosting), Dmitri_Harkov (configs), YAC, Macko, Jon, Pilgrim, Leed, Udaloy, ANZACSAS_Steve and many other people testing the addons every boring day.

This addon of Polish armed forces also supports "texture selection" ability to release and create custom reskins easy (like 2 other addons East vehicles and West vehicles which were both released some months ago).

If you host backups of my files, please overwrite the old version with this new one. And thankyou to anyone who make screens with those addons, I hope you will have fun using them.

I downloaded the west weapons pack and the ammo box only has a Galil and FAL. Seems pretty thin for a 67MB addon. Where is the rest of it? Do I need the others released today?

FWIW I run the past versions of these with that certain mod, picking and choosing what "works" and what doesn't (for example: I rarely use the SV-98 because it lacks the 'deploy bipod' function, but as a counter-example the RPK-74M will 'deploy bipod').

Most of what's there works well-enough that I won't notice any difference in performance between the same ammunition in the two mods.

I think these models are more pleasing to the eye than the ones included in that mod (which is not to insult the hard work of other modders), so I try to use as much as possible. :D

I have it tested again.

I think the weapon-holders/characters pack required the "vilas_aks" and "vilas_wwp", otherwise I have an error-message.

I put all new vilas pbos in a mod-folder (weapon-holders/characters, vilas_aks, vilas_wwp and vilas_npl_a2) and I have no other weapons in the weapon-box "west-mix" :rolleyes:

All I want is the M14:confused: I put into the "addon" folder in arma2, but it will not show up in anything. help me please.

EDIT: I have steam, and I have tried using an arma2 launcher, but the mod still does not show up. At all. Where would I look for one, in a special ammo crate?

Currently most of the west weapons are not in any ammobox, you may find them in the hands of infantry, you have to download the weaponholders pack, you will find them at class "Weaponholders (BLUFOR)", in it you'll find several factions, you most probably will find M14 in the hands of "(VIL) Woodland units" --> "soldier (M14)".
