boneboys 0 Posted March 13, 2011 I mostly turn the hud of in RO, except when I'm tanking, you sort of need it for tanks but playing as infantry I just keep my eyes peeled. I hope I can select what I want the hud to display as can be done in RO.

ACPL Jon 68 Posted June 24, 2011 I'd like to ask (26 pages, I think You can understand me), but will there be some anti-nade-spam measures? It's one of main 3 problems with standard RO for me (dull movement, bullshit ballistics in close combat and the damn asshole-ish grenade rain), making the games on maps like Danzig or Basovka almost a one big frustration-run. Rak 0 Posted July 1, 2011 Yes,And If I recall correctly it'll be a German and a Russian campaign. :) You'll just be playing the MP Maps with bots though. It's won't be full fledged, story driven campaign.

Hans Ludwig 0 Posted July 1, 2011 Don't dare give suggestions to the Rising Storm or TWI team. You will get this response. Xendance: What the hell am I reading? To be honest, I wouldn't want to make games what people want. I make what I want, and that is probably the case with what TWI is doing. They do what they want and think is best. This isn't a democracy or anything like that, so stop having such a big sense of self-entitlement. If you want something, do it yourself. And they wonder why they wont be as popular as COD or BF or Arma.
ACPL Jon 68 Posted July 1, 2011 Like CoD's or BF's listen to the community -.-
ben_s 11 Posted July 1, 2011 You'll just be playing the MP Maps with bots though. It's won't be full fledged, story driven campaign. No, You have both campaign modes and skirmish. Also - I forgot, the SP campaign also has coop. :) ---------- Post added at 04:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:11 PM ---------- Don't dare give suggestions to the Rising Storm or TWI team. You will get this response. And they wonder why they wont be as popular as COD or BF or Arma. It's because they're making their game, the game they want to play. I applaud them for it, and I 100% agree with them. If you do not like the kind of game they want to make - then do not play it. Anyway, Xendance is just a member of the Rising Storm mod team. Not the actual dev team themselves. So it's just his opinion.

TWI stated that they are considering selling Rising Storm as an expansion pack or DLC.
jblackrupert 14 Posted July 1, 2011 (edited) They're selling the best mods and giving away the others. Mod tools will be given out on release. I'm seen 10 being the number of mods in the works right now so it's not like people aren't going to have a bit of choice. Plenty of revolutionary games came out of a result of people getting together and doing something they wanted to see which was not being offered anywhere else. ProfTournesol 956 Posted July 1, 2011 I guess every modders may understand that kind of statement, even if it isn't that friendly.

If you do not like the kind of game they want to make - then do not play it. Agreed. If you're not making it for yourself then there's less passion, and without that you aren't going to make as good a game. That's also what I believe BIS did with OFP, but now that they have a huge community they have to somewhat give in to their/our "demands" or pay the price (and we've all seen what happens when BIS wants to take more creative freedom with their game). ben_s 11 Posted July 2, 2011 That is a half-truth. TWI stated that they are considering selling Rising Storm as an expansion pack or DLC. Doesn't mean that he's a part of TWI, nor does he reflect TWI's views on the subject he was talking about. It was his personal views on a subject and you shouldn't judge TWI on his views.
