Operation Waste Five minutes in Flash

Recommended Posts

Once a while you manage to get some free time.

Unfortunately sometime it is no more than 5 minutes idling doing nothing browsing internet aimlessly.

How about finding way to waste those 5 minutes in a totally unproductive way : playing flash games.

And unless you are new to the internet thing, you are aware that flash games are found by thousands in google.

That's not helping ! because most of them are just not good enough to really be able to waste your 5 minutes, some are so bad that you will stop after just 1 minute, leaving you desesperate for the next 4 !

So i need your help people, finding -very good- flash games that are so good your 5 minutes of free time will be utterly destroyed before you even noticed.

Basically, what are the flash games you -personnally- tried (having just "hey i found that list on google" will not do) and really liked playing ?

I have only tested 3 that are really good in annihilating those famous 5 minutes of free time :

The last stand 2

Basically a zombie survivor game, everyone always like to shoot at zombie but when it's badly done it is just pointless and stupid ?

Good news for youthis one is NOT badly done, in fact it is the opposite, bad news for your 5 minutes, they are lost.

Desktop tower defense

Someone pointed me to this, it seemed pointless : just buying/building/upgrading towers in a field to prevent monsters to go from point A to B. But in practice this is highly addictive with tons of game modes.

Juts say goodbye to your 5 minutes, you will not notice them disappearing.

Dino Run

You're a dino, behind you doomsday is coming, so you run. That sound ridiculous ? Well, try to run, avoid big dino, eat little one, collect eggs, avoid slowing down, upgrade your dino, while beginning slowly and easy, things will become quickly epic "no way !".

5 minutes totally unproductively wasted.

Champion Archer I found that one recently. In high school I used to play bowman, divine intervention and aggressive alpine skiing. The last one is a great game that very few of the people in my class were able to beat more than once.

Puzzle Quest Galactrix

^^ Only half as :icon_dj: as Desktop Tower Defense, but still a very good way to kill 5 minutes (and many more)

Desktop Tower Defense 1.5

That one is making me crazy.

Incredibly simple concept but this one being very addictive is an under-statement to that kind of puzzle game.

dtwd.jpg

My best score so far in normal difficulty.

But arghh, losing to the very last level of the difficulty (50st level) is extremely frustrating :D

EDIT :

Ahh , i knew i could do it :D

dtwd2.jpg

This time using a bit different kind of towers, the result is more efficient, as i managed to finsih the 50th level of that dreaded normal difficulty.

I have being ranked 1.769.638th ... wow ... i must be really bad at this :D

This is some good fun: Click. Make a brute and fight me :)

You level up the more fights you do (win or lose) and pupils you get.

Bunny Invasion 2

You have to kill bunnies, lots of them... It's basically the same game as Last stand 2.

Desktop Tower Defense 1.5

After having been in beta, there is a new official version of it named "Desktop Tower Defense Pro" available on the following link :

http://www.handdrawngames.com/DesktopTD/Game.asp

Apparently even more towers, game modes and introduction of multiplayer game types.

This one remain unbelievably addictive, so avoid to play this if you value your short free time ;)

http://www.akinator.com

The concept of this game is simple: You think of a person and Akinator will tell you who's on your mind.

In case you wonder how it works: Akinator is a genie who was freed from his bottle by two French tourists. They took him home to France and created the website akinator.com so that everybody can put Akinator's mysterious powers to the test. (I am not making this up - a more detailed version of this story can be found on the site.)

See it you like it!

Ehh, Bals? Is this game in portugese or something? Apperantly it wants me to install something in order to be able to play it but I'm reluctant to install anything in a language I don't understand :p

Is there an english version available, I could not find any at first glance?

The game is made with Unity, a Mac-based game-engine that is now available for Windows aswell. All you have to do is to install the Unity Web Player. The game is in portugese, but only the menus. It´s pretty simple to get into, just hit the big buttons :-)

When trying to refresh my head out of O2 & co , i discovered this one :

http://armorgames.com/play/3527/gemcraft-chapter-0

While very simple in the beginning it progressively become harder, but accumulating victories, you unlock always new levels, new game modes and are able to buy more skills or upgrade your existing ones.

Be warned, this is another -very- addictive puzzle/strategy game.
