Latest ArmA2 & ArmA2:OA Press Coverage | NO discussion here!

They should have sticked with an august or september release then, i expect the 505 release will be in a better state and im positive the patches will fix any problems in a short time.

I guess Morphicon went greedy.. again, its the publishers responsability when unfinished games hit the shelves.. im going to wait for the 505 release and avoid some frustrations.

Im not really worried.. ok maybe a little :D .

Just canceled my pre order. I need to wait for it to come out before I make my descision now. I refuse to buy games from companys that dont release a finished game. When we buy a game we should be able to play it as designd and as advertised, saying patches will fix the problem is no excuse.

I hope the game is ok as I had high hopes for it. Maybe if we could get an official comment on this reveiw :(

Wow, very bad news :butbut:.

Unfortunately I can't access the article right now (content filter at work), so I have to go by what people are writing here but on the whole this news sucks gigantic cock.

Looks like most of the bugs are related to the campaign though, so I definitely know what I will NOT be playing this weekend. As long as the single player missions and the editor work, I'll be happily playing around.

Not that I'd let something like a negative article dampen my enthusiasm for Arma2, but it sucks to be reading such negative press.

Damn, Balschoiw was right.

I just read it in different german Forums that people really cancel their pre-orders of Arma2, because of the fast spreading word about Arma2s miserable shape in german release version.

Morphicon you made it happen!!!!:angryfire::aa:

Great Job!!!!! :rolleyes::aa:

... i would never signed a deal with this sub-prime publisher again.

I think it is BIS' responsibility to provide a proper GOLD version ready to be sold at the agreed date to the publisher

It is not possible for Morphicon to publish an unfinished product, unapproved by the developer.

Some of this may be true due to date commitments in the contract etc..that BIS had to provide so-so gold copies to fulfill their obligations per the contract.

We should wait and see other reviews and how serious reported bugs are.

You're all basing this on one article that has been made before the official release...interesting.

We are trying to wath what happen, but from errors that they are reporting it looks that they had instaled preview version and after that they install GM. In case that they tryed to replay some missions or campaign with old autosave data or save game, lot of structures will be inconsistent and could produce crashes or script fails like that. Will se what happens :(

because the reviewer are Germans, and Germans are, AFAIK, all engineer of sort

for funny reason i have also think of the same reason for that, a very simple stupidest human error that shouldnt be happening in most case, but are you really sure its not because of the game itself?

If what the german magazine is saying is really true, this is really disappointing. I really really hope the version by 505Games will be better !

If what Honza (Ohara) is saying above is true then it's an even worse reflection on this "magazine".

Since the allmighty mod closed my thread for some reason and threatened me with something i didnt even read, i repost my thread here:

http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=73076

We need an official bugtracker tool to report the bugs we find in the german version, this will help BIS or the community to fix the horrible exisiting bugs.

Sounds plausible. Hopefully that's the problem.

We all remember the shape Arma1 was published in... :j:

Arma1 was one of the few games that was almost unplayable out of the box, and even with patches it never turned out to be the game it was supposed be.

I presume quite a few others fear history is going to repeat itself.

I've seen many "big" games magazines make unfair reviews. I remember one article, I think it was PCgames where they called X3: Terran Conflict a buggy mess and a horrible "space shooter", never mind that it is an economy simulator.

I dont know....So you really mean a big PC Testing Magazine like PC Games here Germany is too stupid to install a game correct, sry but i cant believe that.....If they was and most of the bugs was because of that,u can really bash them:)
