Out of curiosity will helicopters be able to land on the rear aft deck? And will they be able to refuel, rearm and repair?

No reason why the frigates could rearm/refuel/repair etc.

Problem is with arma engine 'if' the frigate moves the helo will fall off the deck.

Maybe a work round is to add a railing round the edge of the flight deck so that the helo slides to it but can't fall off.

Couldn't we lock the chopper on the fly deck as it's done in RL ?

we tried that and teh helo starts bouncing..... eventually destroying both the frigate and the chopper.

We are working on the solution. Hopefully we will not have to go the proxy route or deal with a massive scripting system.

all else fails we will look into the currently available hitching scripts and add an option like "Lash chopper to deck" something like that

Could you add some machineguns for aerial defence?

Not a Vulcan, but some .50, maybe in the sides of the ship, or a turret in a high spot.

if you want the helo to stay on why not use a hook on the ship to catch the heli and another one on the heli(like in real life)

Gnat made a tug for his navy flanker which done the same without using scripts and no damage was done biggrin_o.gif  im sure he would help

On the reskinned BIS units, did you magane to contact Skaven? His troops are by far the best RACS i've seen so far and i'd probably end up using them with your ground forces anyway at the moment. So between the standard BIS troops and Skaven's I wouldnt worry too much about your own troops yet.

That ship looks a beast, it'll be nice to have some proper navel support on coastal ops.

Reminds old Ofp "Flashpoint in the Falklands Type 21 Frigate2, if I'm not wrong...

Again a great addon people.

Hope there's enough space on the flight deck to load almost an Alouette III if not your modified Puma choper...

Carry on with type 23 now !

If so you better contact me FAST.

RACS have permission for a number of the 1982: Flashpoint in the Falklands ships, along with another team.

Conner is indeed doing a great job bringin the old OFP ships into ArmA.

The Type 21 does have a boftors for air defence smile_o.gif

But its meant to be slightly weak in the air defence role.. :P but strong in anti shipping.

On the other hand the Type 42 is the RSN dedicated Air Defence ship and that is Unable to defend against surface threats... in a whole I’m trying to make them rely on each other for protection smile_o.gif

(These ships rely on other classes of ships for other types of defence e.g. from submarines and sea skimming missiles)
