Wow, thanks Flashbang. The game looks excellent, apart from the

silly look of the grass growing through the tank tracks 0_o It could be fixed, though smile_o.gif

im probably being very stupid here, but where is the example of this new GUI? cant see it sad_o.gif

Its at around 3:12 in the video. You see a map and you can see him dragging lines from a unit to different places on the map. Im assuming thats what that map is for because you see the markers following the lines.

I really like the forests and how natural they look. Would be great with a little more fallen trees, rocks, shrubs etc. To make it even more detailed

Ooooo that looks lovely. command interface seems nice, the envirounments are excellent (Notice the lake surrounded by a wonderful forest during the osperay flight and that drive of the hummve through a very realistic looking suberban area) and even the weapons sound better.

Speaking of sound any equilizer experts around here who know the proper setting to make Mr. Marek's voice more appearent i tried to do it in VLC with little success.

In my honest opinion, i think the core thing that needs working on from ArmA is just the AI (looks like they are). Other things like weapon sounds etc. are minor issues and these will be addressed by the community in time anyway.

Keep it coming BI looks good.

Hear what Marek says at minute 3:25:

"We changed the playing dynamic a little bit to prevent the players to die so often. To make this, we implemented a 'ressurection-feature' in ArmA2..." -> Revive feature, when a buddy gets shot.

Does this mean that I wont die if I receive a headshot??

Hm... Don't know... I am very sceptical thinking of this. I know that I die after some moments, if no one heals me. But if I received a headshot from someone, I even wouldn't like to be healed!  wink_o.gif

I am against this feature. I should be at least selectable.

Id bet most people would disagree tho... especially since ArmA2 is being played up as a totally new game. So re-releaseing ArmA with better AI is not going to sell copies. Lucky for us it seems BIS knows this, and is doing a decent job at making it a totally new game. (Other then the reused OFP buildings)

I'd like to see a totally new game aswell, im sure BI are working to do this as much as possible, but there is always going to be features (whether it be game elements or models) that are similiar if not the same all be it updated. I just think that making the AI as realistic as possible, would far outway other changes.

I really want to know what the icons seen inside the vehicles are for!

And I really love the advanced command system, if it would be the same for MP it's going to be awesome!

I did notice in this video they did not have the graphics that high as they had in the earlier video's, the car did not look like the one we've seen before.

And this time we could see that the mirrors are NOT working, but are at this point still the same as in current ArmA

EDIT:

"With the right weapons you will be able to destroy building completly."

I like the sound of this smile_o.gif if that means that damage really will be weapon specific then the damage system is updated aswell

NOTE: ALL JUST SPECULATION!

EDIT2: "ArmA has been sold 300.000 times up till now"

There was written that the ArmAII-area is similar/identic to an area north of Praha / located in the northern of Česká republika. Can someone give some (estimated) google-earth-coordinates to look at this area on google-earth?

Very happy to see USMC style markers and group ID's in the high level command interface, as well as the satellite map underlay.

Would be nice to see the group ID's properly incremented as I noted in my suggestion thread.

(1-1-A > 2-1-A instead of 1-1-A > 1-1-B)

Wow, the terrain looks stunning at end of video, towns look extremely nice aswell. smile_o.gif IMO much better style than Sahrani.
