Arma bugs

It may be posted somewhere in the thread, but vehicles can't move over the ends of the bridges.

All same bugs as in ofp more the new ones.

I don't understand for what is used Biki Bugs report, they know already the bugs.

When you try to crawl underneath the vines, you end up crawling over them. I suppose you already know this but it's a bit wiered!

One bug i've noticed is sometimes the harrier won't let you do the Gear Up thing and sometimes it does so you sometimes end up flying around with gear down goodnight.gificon_rolleyes.gif

Drawline/Drawrectangle etc. don't work. I tried many many scenarios.. no dice.

Helicopters dissapear if you watch them fly in the sky and reappear short time later. I will make a video about that, if necessary.

i get this bug too

I thought it was to do with view distance, i have mine at 500 until i get my new GFX card...

Can anyone confirm and replicate this CTD?

Hold RPG7, press G key for the equipment/inventory window (i hate it btw) select the RPG7 launcher and drop it.

This was in demo but might be in full version too..

Hi, this that i gonna say is not a bug; but i think that will be a good idea for a future ArmA patch. Will be good if the ArmA had the same scripts that the Earl & Suchey USMC Addon Pack 1.0, not only the same weapons smoke effect (much better than the ArmA MP Demo, in my opinion) also the wounded/blackout scripts.

I've a list of the real bugs that i've found in the ArmA MP Demo 1.3 :

- The lightin' is weird on most objects/buildings, over all in

that "chimenea" wiz the Santa-Satan face, by night.

Wiz the NVG's ya can see it shinin' entirely, but if ya quit

the NVG's... ya only see the upside shinin' wiz that red light.

- The M1A1 commander sight, don't have any zoom factor; like the

BRDM gunner sight.

- The M16A2 front hand guard texture is uncomplete or bad mapped,

'couse the front side is entire black when it should have the

same shape than the rest of the hand guard.

- The trees shine by night wiz the NVG's as if they were from

Alice in wonderland; not allowin' the players to IFF right

the tangos.

- Everythin' looses almost all the detail too soon just at few

metters away.

- There's no "Roll Left/Rigth" key re-mappin' on the options.

- Ya can't change the "Player Name" in the player options menu.

- The AI's are Gods while im a crippled at they'r side; it used to

be the other way 'round in the OFP.

- The choppers are un-flyable usin' the mouse + the keyboard.

- The AI's won the driver's license in a "tom-tom-tombola".

- The gear menu is slow and the "Rearm" option don't do nothin'.

- In the gear menu there're too few ammo slots and the RPG take

two slots instead one.

- The AI keep seein' through the smoke from the nades or the

blasted vehicles.

- The reload speed of the nades is too slow and when yar out of

nades... it switches too "dramaticaly" to the weapon sight

a.k.a. BM2.

- When ya enter in a vehicle and exit, it switches yar weapon

from Auto to Single shot.

- Seems that ya can't advance prone at different speeds as in the OFP.

- Seems that ya can't slide slowly unless ya've the sight "on" or

ya be leanin' to a side.

- The weapons recoil make the weapon rise up instead rise in left

diagional as it does in the pistols, rifles, assault rifles, MG's,

and shotguns; it should rise the weapon in this direction: " \ "

instead in this one: " | ".

- Ya can't do from now on shinin' aimin' elements on the weapons.

Double tap shift >> default, i have changed it to single tap.

99% of that is based on design ideas (some bad ones) but dont classify as bugs and dont help anyone..

Hi All,

First of all this game rocks no matter the bugs. There is still some work needed though, so here are my two cents:

Last week I build my first ArmA coop smile_o.gif

I have built many in OFP and it's good to see the touch and feeling of the mission editor has not changed!

When my team and I were beta testing the coop map one player after the other kept on crashing back to desktop. "ArmA needs closing blabla". I also experienced a hard reboot of my machine.

The coop I built does not include any scripts or other thingies. It's a very simple mission with 8 player slots and 4 nmi bases to attack.

We all have the German copy 1.02.

I'm a bit worried about this bug, because I can't recall we had something similar in OFP. Does any of you have the same experience with the German version? And is there any file that I can send to BIS for examination?

Did not find those bugs in the wiki with the proper keywords:

ATGM's are not controllable even if the config says they are (Vikhr, Hellfire, TOW, AT5)

Laserdesignator model works (if model is used for Binoculars) but is rotated 180° (you look into the Laserbeam not the eyepiece).

Javelin does no top-down attack, it starts vertical but in the end hits from the side (and the already mentioned model issues and optics are corrupted, too)

Non-Digital optical sights should not have lock-on features and distance even on regular difficulty

AT weapons got a smoke trail

Sabot rounds do not have an impact effect if you hit the ground.

M197 cannon on AH-1Z does not have the low and high rate of fire selection (750 RPM / 1500 RPM)

Tracers should be fired with every barrel on AH6 and Shilka, because they are supposed to indicate the flight path (check convergence).

No reload sound for bolt action of M24

small arms should not fire tracers if not MG (on regular difficulty only incoming fire should be affected by this setting)

There might be reposts of known bugs.

Hello, I want to report a bug on the multiplayer demo.

I was grabbing the scale of the factory and when I was at 20 feet above the ground I release it and just after I click to grab the scale, the result is pretty funny :

I was in that position until one of my team mates managed to bring me a hummer so that I can enter in it to stop this animation bug.

LOS bug:

infantry units located into cities have problems spotting steady enemy infantry even at short distance (<100m) and with clear LOS.

Since units moving are spotted easily, while steady units are "stealthy" till point blank range a lot of problems emerge: for example advancing troops are wiped out by steady units since they detect enemies too late.

FOUND A VERY LARGE MULTIPLAYER BUG!

All tanks have no reload time of their main cannon if in MANUEL FIRE and the driver is alone.

The driver can manuelly fire all 20 sabot rounds in a matter of seconds.

PLEASE FIX.

Some more bugs i found..

1)Adding briefing pictures to custom missions doesn't work sometimes (weird)

2)Unable to rearm hellfires at ammo trucks unless you leave one hellfire in your cobra.

3)After alt/tabbing,sometimes objects look weird like blocks,this only happens for a second though.

4)SF Marksman placed in the editor are showing up as SF Sabateur in the multiplayer lobby.

Test it in the editor, or even better toggle address.internet to address.Lan in upper left corner.

Some things can't be tested properly in the editor, such as respawn, parameters and things that rely on set parameters. To me closing the server is enough, and I don't mind if someone connects if I forgot to close the server. They can ogle all they want if they think it's time well spent, or I simply kick 'em. smile_o.gif
