A few weeks ago I experienced this strange and slightly surreal bug: The anchorman was seriously injured and as a result wasn't able to speak. It occured only once and I don't know what caused it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pg7muOOybU

Did anyone find this one yet?
-
It's pretty obvious in a video I recorded some days ago. Note that V0=0.
-
So it's a Dr. Watson style error like this one?
-
One question: Does VON work with LAN games? We tried it yesterday but couldn't get it to work.
-
C'mon...

I get this error sporadically too. I think it occurs in connection to the use of ALT-TAB. Version: 1.02 German I've got pretty much the same system and settings as Vänskä: Everything on high except postprocessing on low. Intel Core 2 Duo (Conroe) E6600 2400MHz S775 Asus P5B Deluxe S775 2X1GB Corsair PC2-800 DHX Dominator CL4 512MB Leadtek WinFast PX 7950GT Extreme DDR3 -
Calling it a "realistic feature" is opportunism. I'm also very unhappy with the current implementation. Why can't the textures'n'stuff be kept loaded in the background while displaying the map?
-
It's neither dramatic nor urgent but I think it should be mentioned: Most civil cars don't have working tachometers. Well, that's no bug, that's sad and it's even more sad that (here comes the bug) the cars which have a "working" tachometer apparently display the wrong speed (or the cars are incredibly pimped): Some vehicle names are from the German version: Offroad: works but: 0 - 100 km/h = ~1s 0 - Vmax (180 km/h) = ~2s Pickup: works but: 0 - 100 km/h = ~2s 0 - Vmax (120 km/h) = ~3s Car: tacho looks bad/has no pointers Limousine: tacho looks bad/has no pointers Fließhecklimousine: tacho looks even worse but pointers are present and turn (but without any reference) Bus: tacho looks bad/has no pointers Ural: tacho works/looks nice

My intention was to point out that the possibility to fly such maneuvers does not speak for the flight model.
-
Well, I like the new flight model more than the original one, but this isn't very realistic, is it? http://youtube.com/watch?v=AFdNo5yL33M

This has to do with usability, not with wanting things to be like in OFP. Why worsen things that were more or less working in OFP? I'm also able to drive the cars with the new steering, but it feels like guessing where your tires point at...
-
You might be right, I'm currently not able to play the game, but iirc, It's nevertheless very hard to dose it right.

This may work with low speed, but try to stay on road with full speed and keyboard controls. The keyboard is a digital input device which means 0 = no steer / 1 = full steer. It's simply impossible to stay on track because you literally have to act as a human dac by "interleaving" the steering signal manually. Hope you get what I mean... Additionally it's just not practical to turn the steering wheel back to zero while not moving the mouse, just like it's not practical to not show the cursor! It's incomprehensibly to me...
