  1. Hello guys, 1°) Graphic card: Which graphic card is the best for a 19" LCD screen ? I need to set maximum details in the options. ( I don't want to buy a very expensive card so that I cannot see the difference on my screen ) Is the HD 4890 too much for my screen ? A 4870 512 Mo or 1 Go would be enough ? 2°) CPU : Which CPU do you recommend me to buy ? ( giving my 19" screen ) 3°) RAM : Is 4 Go RAM necessary or only 2 Go RAM are enough ? ( Edit : I run on XP. In Vista 4 Go might be useful ? ) Which differences do you notice between both configurations ? 4°) Disk : Does anyone here uses a SSD disk for fast loading ? Do you recommend us this device or not ?     AC-130 Spectre in ArmA 2 ?

    Snake man : Have you got some videos to show us your stuff ? I am sure this would be possible to find a way to create a AC-130 ( and to be honest, I'm not sure I understood the plane class turrets thing : where did you put a turret as this plane has only weapons on the side ? A simple fixed weapon that fires on the side would actually work, right ? ) :confused: Dunedain : On your first video, we can see only 2 types of zoom right ? Because in COD 4, there are 3 zoom options the closer is the 25 mm gun, the medium zoom is for the 40 mm and finally the 105 mm is the farest view. By the way, have you noticed that it seems that the time between the moment when you fire and the moment of the impact is too long compared to the COD 4 video ?
  3. Hello, as there will be the C-130J transport airplane in the game, will there be a AC-130 that can fire on a perpendicular axis ? Here is a AC-130 close air support video from Call of Duty 4 : .What do you think about that plane in ArmA 2 ? Regards, Blasko.

Hello everybody, As in Operation Flashpoint 2 players can use knife and maybe some kind of hand-to-hand combat, I would like to know if you people from BIS have planned to implement this weapon ( or Close Quarter Combat ) into the game ? Because I didn't see any knife in the weapon list on the official website. The campaign of ArmA 2 displays 4 special forces, so it would be logical to be able to use a knife in short distances.     Hello and thank you for your comments :-) With my team mates we have found a solution to defend our positions : we take cover in one of the houses and we shoot at the ennemi from it. It is very efficient ... especially with the M249 SW Have a nice game

    Hello nubbin77 In order to be able to take the ammo crate, you will have to choose before the mission starts the commander as a playable unit, then if a member of the team approachs the ammo crate enough , a radio message will automatically appears. One thing to notice is that the crate has a random position on the city so don't be worry if you can't find the crate at the same position each time ^^

  14. Hello all, I have a problem with a random positions script in a MP map. At the beginning of the mission, I want a ammo crate named "ammo"to be randomly located on the map in one of these 5 positions "pos1", "pos2", "pos3", "pos4" and "pos5". Here is my alea.sqs script text : And when I write in init.sqs : The ammo crate successfully goes in one of the 5 positions in the map for me only : but when I played the MP with a friend, he forever sees the crate at the same position, this position is where I placed the ammo crate in the map when I was editing, so I conclude that the ammo crate didn't launch the script text in my friend's computer because it is not in one of the 5 positions that it has to be. My friend can watch the ammo crate whereas I can't see it and I see the ammo crate in one of the 5 positions and not my friend !     Arma bugs

    Hello, I want to report a bug on the multiplayer demo. I was grabbing the scale of the factory and when I was at 20 feet above the ground I release it and just after I click to grab the scale, the result is pretty funny : I was in that position until one of my team mates managed to bring me a hummer so that I can enter in it to stop this animation bug.
