bn880 5 Posted March 4, 2004 Oh yeah, actually in highschool we would play "soccer" with HDD's that didn't want to work. I remember my friend tossing a PC in the air or two... we were trying to fix them... But I generally get more pissed at the people who manufacture/make the hardware and software, rather than the actual physical "stuff". If your net card doesn't work in 1/2 of the PCI slots it's not the motherboards/net card's fault, it's someones money saving/grabbing technique at work. Tovarish 0 Posted March 4, 2004 In it's last few months of use, my old 486sx/25 would not boot up unless I gave it a good hard punch on the top of the case. It sat there beeping morse-code-like errors until I gave it a good wack and then it would reboot and load up normally
Winters 1 Posted March 4, 2004 heh-heh Compute That!!!

It sat there beeping morse-code-like errors until I gave it a good wack and then it would reboot and load up normally I used to that a lot to my previous p3 (unstablest of all PC's in world) when it kept moaning and whirring and dint used to boot
Milkman 1 Posted March 4, 2004 Hahah I use to give my old computer a good smack where the harddrive was located. It helped unfreeze the sucker but after enough punches it developed physical errors on the disk. So I took out the harddrive and used a sledge hammer/Ax to kill it. Skul 0 Posted March 4, 2004 For me, the best part is smashing up the casing! The fan needs replacing, but I haven't got round to it yet and the fan makes this weird buzzing noise. Sometimes it'll shut the hell up if I give it a slight whomp, or pick it up by the front slightly and have it bang its underside on the desk (not too hard, though. Did that once and lost all my data! ). That flash game lets me do what I feel like doing to the casing whenever the above tactics don't work. Won't shut the hell up, eh? Take THIS! YEEEAARRRGHHHH! BASH! [Gareth Gates must die]

Balschoiw 0 Posted March 5, 2004 I lost one wing of a cpu fan one day. It was loud as a turbine after that. All was vibrating. It happened on saturday so I had to cope with it until next monday. I layed my comp to the side to make fan less loud. Even with headphones it was hard to take  Anyway I would never beat my comp. Most errors are produced by myself
IceFire 0 Posted March 5, 2004 That would be really fun if it were in English. I don't think too many people in Mexico use computers. Anyhow, I have very often wanted to throw my computer out the window or destroy it with a sledge hammer.

Harnu 0 Posted March 5, 2004 Fun stuff Kind of reminds me of what they did to the fax machine in Office Space Anyone still have the "stress relief" game? Where you could beat the crap out of your desktop, namely putting a picture of someone you hate on there, then burning/painting/stamping/hammering/chainsawing it? JAP 2 Posted March 5, 2004 I always bang my desk. Though i m currently on gamepad number 4 for my PS2 Man these things fly well I m afraid to buy a wireless one since i might kill someone, now the cord holds it to do more damage then it s doing already Or what PES can do to someone that cant stand loosing lol. Pipski 0 Posted March 5, 2004 I beat the frigging crap out of my PC on a regular basis. Keyboard gets the brunt of it. It's very therapeutic to just whack it with your fist so all the keys fly out, then you get time to calm down while you're slotting them back in. Eventually, of course, the thing just breaks and won't go back together. At one point I started buying really flashy, expensive keyboards on the basis that maybe I'd hesitate before breaking them if they cost a lot. Didn't work, so now I just buy cheap, dispensable ones (about six times a year).
