I thought that is hacked but it seems that simply closed ... shame that all knowledge in there vanished.

I'm skeptical. Looks like a big hack. The site being immediately overtaken by a gambling site... and I was even refunded my May subscription via Paypal. The original tweet has been deleted, and the twitter account hasn't been used otherwise in like 4 years from the look of it.

Oh no 😞 btw Cant see the tweet says its been deleted , anyways so is there a chance it will comeback and what other good websites other than steamworkshop are there cause Armaholic is/was one of the best places to go in my opinion cause it had so many mods and old ones too

also i remember they used to get ddosed quite a few times in the past

I really don't think there's anything that compares to Armaholic as a replacement if you don't want Steam Workshop.

Yes, the immediate redirection to a gambling sounds indeed is a bit weird. I know Foxhound for many, many years and this doesn't look like him.

But then, his hosting contract maybe just ran out today and the gambling honks have registered the domain ahead of this. Don't know, I hope that Fox will clarify this some time.

Welp, looks like it might be real. Kind of disappointed that it was this sudden and that it's a gambling site within minutes of shutting down.

Still, what was accomplished was impressive. I wish I had the resources to continue the site.

It would be good to have him comment specifically, other than on what was, until today, a basically abandoned Twitter account...

Yeah the explanation in the tweet is extremely vague anyways i hope it comes back in some form somehow someday cause if its lost it will also mean hundreds of non workshop Arma 3 mods and arma 2 and arma 1 mods will potentially be GONE from the internet and all thats left is memories

I would like Foxhound himself to come and explain whats going on, i mean we all spend many years going to his site

from Arma 1 to Arma3 and to just shut it down without, any feedback, explaination, or asking for help from the community, to me

just kills alot of great memories and content.

Foxhound has been around a long time, i'd hate to see such a guy close up shop over what, not able to keep the site

going, maybe hes tired of it, or contract is up, i mean what.

@foxhound Talk to us old friend, would hate to see you leave, or shut down a great site, what can we do, or is it to late?

I would like to hear it from the horses mouth if you will.

Exactly, I highly doubt the end of AH would go down via some meager twitter post.

Probably, either that or some sort of major hack. NexusMods, while granted much larger in scope, is being targeted by various groups for years, couple of time successfully. Usually to gain user info.

Something to keep in mind when various companies claim their security is absolutely impenetrable and your data 1 billion percent secure.

I feel you buddy, I'm sure he's on it and will respond as soon as he can.

Domain doesn't expire til September, but it was updated today to "stars" from Indonesia as the owner and changed nameservers to cloudflare.
before that it was updated in March, looks like he adjusted contact privacy and that's it - was still JOOCOO at that point with rapidswitch.com nameservers.

I agree completely.

I really hope we can have some clarity from Foxhound on this one.Armaholic going down just doesnt sit rite with me.As far as im concerned its a part of Arma3 for me as much as BIS forums are.It has a huge collection of mods and particularly scripts ,not to mention general info that i personally use DAILY to help with learning mission editing and scripting.
