ARMA 3 Addon Request Thread

Im looking for a comprehensive weapons pack of some sort. Id like to use some "real" firearms :) I also know very little about modding or if this is anywhere out there. Also would a mod like this work in multiplayer? I have no idea how mods with this game work with MP vs SP :)

Hi I'm looking to get this texture as a separate choice for the M320, I hope someone will decided to tackle because I was hoping to use the Suppressor mod I'm working on for the M320 to also match this texture.

What I would like to see is a mod that removes the artificial HUD from vehicles and aircraft. The mod will remove the "damage control" panel you see when driving a vehicle, the fuel indicator and the speed indicator from vehicles. For planes and choppers the mod will remove the damage indicator and the altitude and speed indicators, the weapon selection indicator, and the artificial sight indicator, leaving only the aircraft's "actual HUD" elements.

Watching some combat footage yesterday I was wondering why the CH53 Super Stalion never made it to Arma?

Wasnt there at least a G-Model in Arma2?

You're probably thinking of Rocket's old USEC CH53 (also on PlayWithSIX), or of SFC.ITZHAK's CH-53 and CH-46 mod. BI themselves went with MH/UH-60s and UH-1s for Arma 2, although OA also added a "CH-47F" Chinook...

Not sure if this is the right place but i need some help :)

Lets say i have a soldier named "Soldier1" and an item called "Item1" how do i make it creates a addAction when i have "Item1" equiped on "Soldier1" ?

I really would like to see a MAZ 535 updated with the front part of the Tempest and a trailer to attach it for CSAT and AAF. And a 2035 version of a modernized Tornado IDS.

a module that spawns loot in/near buildings across the whole map, such as gear etc.

optimized for performance so nothing spawns untill player gets near

with the option to have it respawn once every x time

First, I want to be clear that I am not spamming with this post. Yes, I mention another game, but only as an example of something I think would make a great mod for Arma 3. I was banned from another forum just for creating a single post with this suggestion, so I want to make it as clear as possible that this suggestion is made in hopes that someone with the wherewithal will create an awesome mod for Arma 3.

That being said, I recently thought that Arma 3 might provide a great platform to create a mod that plays like Space Station 13 (I'm not going to link to this other game, in case that might be considered spamming).

If you're not familiar with SS13, it's a multiplayer game where players are crew on a space station. Each player has a particular role to fill (engineering, security, botany, medical, chef, bartender, janitor, etc.). What makes things interesting is that some players are randomly selected at the start of the round as the enemy, and they are given certain objectives to fulfill (usually involving killing members of the crew) before the round ends. The round ends when the emergency escape shuttle is summoned and departs, and then a new round begins with different enemies trying to carry out different objectives.

Having experienced some of the great modding people have been able to do with Arma 3 (Altis Life, Breaking Point, etc.), I'm sure there's enough talent in this community to make a mod like this if the right people are interested. It would be a big undertaking, but it seems like it would be a really cool mod to me.

With the popularity of all the LIFE based game modes, be it Altis Life, Wasteland, Breaking Point, and others. Would it not be safe to assume that having an In Game Addon that has the features to create functions like Banks, ATM, Paychecks, Food, Water, Classes, Licenses, Vendors, and so forth. One unified Addon with the ability to call on mostly just script based actions. Perhaps a second or different version could be made to support user made items. I know that some items will have to be imported in as objects like food, water, and police officer uniforms and vehicles. However the primary role of this addon would be to help generate the functions needed to allow users to create basic life based maps much easier.

I thought maybe an external program that could generate the SQF and other scripts needed to create the base functions of a LIFE based mode. I have also given much thought into what would be the end result. It would end up with hundreds of user made maps on the workshop and other locations that are on different maps and some just base fixes to others work.

What it takes to create an in game addon I have no clue, but an external program that will write the files should be to much for a good programmer and scripter. Using the LITE based LIFE scripts, so there is no need for any other external mods is optimal. There are ways around the missing pieces like food, water, and cop uniforms. But the main focus should be to create a simple to use program that has drop down boxes and +/- buttons for selecting everything from number of players per faction, default clothing, loadouts of each type unit. Also things like starting money, paychecks, interval of paychecks, player transactions like trading, police functions, and all from a GUI thats easy to click thru with default settings for minimal stats.

If anyone is interested in developing something like this I am sure it will be most popular.

Simple config addons "Cheats Pack" for SP use. For instance, removal of fatigue sounds and effects (blur, lower stamina, etc.). Because some find fatigue in official missions very annoying, it discourages to play further.

Has anyone done an 'AirWolf' mod? with the new flight dynamics I think this would really show off the game.

Hello, some of you know me on here for my ballistics work, others don't know me at all. With the termination of the US Army's Individual Carbine Competition in a bid for the next generation soldier small arms weapon system, the ADCOR Defense A556 Elite (or B.E.A.R Elite as it was called at the time) was strongly in the lead, and for some very good reasons; these reasons are in the manufacturers videos and documentation of the weapon system.

I know there are already quite a few M4's & M16's available for ArmA III, this however if done like HLC does their weapons could be quite innovative. I would be more than happy to write the ballistics code per magazine for each barrel length thus making it damn near real, so should anyone be interested. All this being said, is any development team willing to take this on?
