dm 9 Posted August 9, 2003 The Graphics card is a Nvidia Fx 5600, with 256 of onboard ram, but as allready said, that dont do squat for the CPU performance... (I just wanted to gloat a bit )
bonko the sane 2 Posted August 9, 2003 DAmn!! i need a faster CPU... I have GF5 5600 FX +512 DDR and a AMD1700+ and my CPU Benchmark varies...with exactly the same settings, I get between 3836 and 4573

Sorry to go o/t for a sec, but is Win ME really as bad as everyone says? My IT lecturers used to tell us all how horrible it is...
toadlife 3 Posted August 10, 2003 Sorry to go o/t for a sec, but is Win ME really as bad as everyone says? My IT lecturers used to tell us all how horrible it is... Yes. All versions of Win9x are generally inferior Operating Systems. Win95/98/ME are all 16bit Operating systems that emulate 32bit Operating systems. All of the Win9x's are a windows shell that loads in DOS. WinXP,and Win2k are real 32bit operating systems.
Guest Posted August 10, 2003 Win9x is 32-bit emulation by a 16-bit OS worked up from an 8-bit system based on a 4-bit program by a 2-bit company

Acecombat 0 Posted September 27, 2003 The "benchmark" code consist of a loop with many vector and matrix operations performed and it gives you a rough idea about CPU and memory performance. No other system components are included in the benchmark. Does that mean the Graphic card plays no role in Benchmark?
