Yottahertz_ 51 Posted May 2, 2017 Amazing quality and attention to detail, the ploughed fields and farmland especially.
Alwarren 2767 Posted May 14, 2017 One of the best looking maps I've seen so far... stunning!
Varanon 892 Posted May 14, 2017 Agreed, one of the best looking maps up to now, and with a real eye for detail!
Bnae 1431 Posted May 15, 2017 Can't wait to test this one out. Always happy to see familiar northern environments
il_padrino 1530 Posted May 15, 2017 From those screens it looks sick, certainly one of the best terrains for Arma 3, if not THE best. Keep up the good work and can't wait for the release ! :)

NeoArmageddon 958 Posted May 15, 2017 What is your grid size? From the screens it looks smaller than 2m.

-ben- 499 Posted May 21, 2017 Looks like it creates a very nice atmosphere. I too would be interested in the technical specs of grid and cell size used.
Undeceived 392 Posted May 21, 2017 These screenshots really blew me away, absolutely stunning, especially that custom vegetation. Very good. Keep it up!

Cell size is 2m - i would have gone for higher but that crashes the tools. "Satellite" map is 1m/px and streamed as 16 2048x2048 textures. No normal map for now because I prefer more surfaces and I think the shader implementation of the normal map is quite bad.
-ben- 499 Posted May 27, 2017 Yeah 2m is generally the most detailed you can get, anything lower and the engine starts to freak out. 2m will get you lovely microterrain detail though.
Tjockejocke 127 Posted June 5, 2017 Thought I'd share some progress :) More screenshots here. New foliage: mountain birches (betula pubescens tortuosa) and downy willow (salix lapponum). Some tests on villages/settlements and other marks by civilization.

Hopefully the CUP team can work out the brightness issues with the vegetation in the future.
