After today's AMD driver update (Crimson 16.7.1), I cant start the game, BattleEye error, since I can see on the launcher a bunch of new stuff blocked every time I try, like "BattleEye - Blocked loading of file 'C:\Windows\SysWOW64\aticfx32.dll'.

 

I tried restarting etc etc etc nothing works

Sorry if I am asking a question that was already asked, I did not see it my search. Does anyone know if the Marshall, panthers, tanks..etc. will be at least green? They are tan still in the sneak peak.

The Gendarme Texture for the pants part still needs fixed ( one half shows a seam, the other it's missing)

Have not heard anything about this. Hopefully they wait till after apex. Have alot on their plate so Don't want a quick version jungle camo like the mx rifles.

Least if they wait they can give them abit more love.

I can't stress this enough but the terrian or what ever is forcing our characters to stand up well prone, has to be fixed. It's gotten me killed quite a few times by AI, all because I would be moving around avoiding detention until i could get in a good spot then for no reason I would just leave the prone position. I never had this issue with Stratis or Altis unless i was on a buildings edge or stone wall, but on Tanoa you very often just get this spots that force your out of prone. and i say it might be terrain related because i remember someone mentioning the same issue not to long ago.

Again this needs to be addressed because it really screws you over when fighting against AI, and can pose a problem when trying to stay low to avoid being seen by a player.

Yes, that is very frustrating and annoying.

When I was trying to play the travesty of an campaign I was constantly being forced to stand from prone, it seems that the 'oh-no-you-can't-prone-here-because-this-is-a-slope' feature (which already is annoying) is on steroids on Tanoa, twice.

I can live with the high count of unenterable buidlings considering Tanoa is a jungle environment.

The history of guerilla warfare in jugnle environments was never about close quarter combat in urban terrain for a simple reason: it is much easier for a guerilla force to hide and operate from inside the jungle. The jungle allows hidden movement and hideout at the same time.

 

Urban warfare is a typical senario for deserts and arid landscapes where there is barely anything to hide, except towns and villages.

 

In the times of drones and TI the jungle is a even better friend to any guerilla force.

The guerilla can force the opposing forces into it's own terrain where armoured vehicles and technical devices that shine in the desert, loose a lot of their potential.

 

I had to experience the same in my combat training back in the 90's...the thermal imaging of the Luchs ARV was great on the plains of the great exercise grounds in northern Germany, but was not so superior to plain eiyesight in the heavily forrested and hilly terrain of out local garrison training ground.

Rationalizing. Going by that argument, no mission should ever be set in a town. What about the little clusters of buildings that are actually in the jungle, which can be used as hideouts for those jungle guerrillas? Oftentimes only one out of three or four is enterable. It's not that big a deal for me because if making a mission I'll just replace the locked buildings with open ones. I thought we had put this issue to bed anyway, but I wish people would stop trying to come up with excuses for why it's okay. It was done for reasons of time, resources, or performance, or all three. Fine, we accept it. There is no need to come up with your own little rationalizations for it.

BIS Devs, I know in the upcoming days and weeks you're going to get a lot of flack and requests for fixes and changes (I will be one of them :) ), but I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for what just might be the single greatest map achievement I've ever seen in a video game. Tanoa is breathtaking. The ambient sounds are exhilarating. You guys deserve a warm pat on the back for this. It really is something to behold.

Seen it on Bornholm as well, I guess it's all the terrains and seems to be related to the overcast.

Are the glass shutter windows a bug or obvious design flaw.

As in shooting them does not break them. Makes a breaking sound but visually nothing.

On the military airbase island (Tuvanaku?) in the NW of the map. There is a floating in the air boat next to a dock. (4223.59. 13403.9)

Is anyone having a problem with tree models drawing-in with blocky, blue-white (transparent?) outlines? I didnt get this on Tanoa during the preview, only after release- I think it might be the new LOD stuff? It happens whatever the object quality setting and I have all the postprocessing settings off, so it's unrelated to those.

Amd card users have reported this. Updating driver seemed to fix for some.

Hi folks,

I'm arriving late to the party so I'm sorry if this is been asked before or is the incorrect place to ask but: do we have a Tanoa digital map(pdf)?

Is not in the bonus content folder so I guess is not been released yet or is not going to.

I went for a little tank ride through the jungle today. While I can understand that these big old trees cannot be run over, not even by a tank, at least the small and thin ones should be breakable. As of now, it seems impossible to bring down any of the new jungle trees.

What's even more frustrating is the fact, that some branches even have a collisions.

If the jungle vegetation doesn't make you slower when moving through it, it should at least produce more sound. Only a small amount of the vegetation has this whoosh sound when moving through it.

I always wished this. The same slowdown effect as moving in water possibly could work. Other great addition would be visual cues of someone moving through bushes.
