Just a funny little note - the "T-72" in OFP is actually a Czech T-72M4 w\o the top-mounted optics

Indeed. We will have T-72B with ERA which could be the spiritual successor to OFPs odd T-72.

Visually T-72AV would be closer match but T-72B with ERA (T-72BV) will do for now.

AV is the export model anyways, so T-72BV IMHO is the best option (and is realistic)

Once NSVT gets made (not a priority atm) it's just a matter of copy paste but for now we'll go with ye olde DShKM.

Really looking forward to this mod! I've been craving for some Cold War action for a long time, I often fire up the good old CWA just to get into that 80s atmosphere... 

 

I would also definitely be making some missions for this mod once it comes out. In that respect, are you guys planning to port the Scud-B from A2, and give it a Soviet reskin? That vehicle provided the setting for some nice search & destroy missions back in the day! 

 

Also, all pictures posted here so far look great! Love the mix of classic OPF units and some refreshing new camos and vehicles.

Didn't CUP already port SCUDs? (correct if wrong - haven't touched CUP in a while)

I'm still porting the SCUD for the main CUP project. I had begun but other issues forced it onto the backburner. But yes, a Soviet SCUD will appear :)
