Yeah, there's a lot of detail about it (unsurprisingly) on the DCS forum but that's the gist of it. There's not even a definitive type of Ka-50, as various things were added to different models, some stuff never left the Kamov company helicopters, they have been used by the Russians (I think they were even used in combat briefly) but the Ka-52 is the version that's been chosen for actual production. I wouldn't bank on seeing RHS doing a brand new model (since the Ka-50 and -52 are fairly different) for an inferior and almost non-existent helicopter (wins on badass points though, single seat attack choppers for the win. :D).

Since theres this talk about ka-50...im more interested in knowing if Mi-28 is planned. Im honestly not sure how much or if it is used but Id love to see it. Ka's and Hinds were in all the ArmA games, but ive always wanted a decent Mi-28. :)

In the USMC they usually use a belt, and in some cases a 50 round bag. In the US Army seems that is the same. In fact I never seen any M240B nowadays pic with a 100 round one.

Because of relism :) IRL as I know you have to unmount NPZ (or any other side mount for AK) in order to have the ability to fold the buttock. So in game your alterego unmounts it and places it in the pocket for future use. Seems reasonable, no?

In the next update (0.3.8) all the 2010 classnames will become obsolete, and the factions will be again divided by camouflage. We understand that the former division was easier to comprehend and allowed a faster location of units.

In order to avoid errors, we ask you to please do not use the 2010 class-names in your missions / scripts. And if you have already done, switch to the 2014 ones before the next update.

I may have missed it, but when you guys decided to divide them by years, were you planning on revamping the gear for the 2010 UCP units to better fit that time period, (ex. Removing the Cyre knee pads and replacing with regular ones, adding the groin protection attached to the IOTV, and changing their weapons like Grenadier having M203 in 2010 and having M320 in 2014, etc...) Or was it just another way of naming Desert and Woodland? And if that's the case, with this roll back, will that still happen or not?

And here am I again, begging you again to consider the possibility of changing the class names for something more intuitive and unified. Right now, a lot of class names in the mod, especially USA ones are real nightmare for people, who edit config files for missions. Even more, some times you choose to define only one variant (woodland or desert) in class name and even they don't match. For example two of your latest vehicles UH-1Y and AH-1Z are defined differently - you have RHS_UH1Y_D as desert variant and RHS_UH1Y as woodland and then RHS_AH1Z as desert and RHS_AH1Z_WD as woodland. So every time I edit units in config in my custom CTI-like mission, I have to reffer to your wiki to check if I typed its classname correctly, and if the info on wiki is outdated, I have to launch the game to check it out in editor.

Some times you define unit's camo scheme as WD and D, then sometimes as W and D, other time you only use D or WD and this letters can be placed in the end of the class name, in the middle or somethere else. This drives me crazy, I can't believe that I am the only one with such problem. Just look at my code, it's a mess:

Why can't you use a simple naming scheme for class names, such as: "mod name_unit_branch_camo". Besides, I suggest to take woodland or desert camo variant of vehicles as a "default" variant, there for not pointing camo variant of that unit at all. For example, US Army M1A1 AIM will be named as: "rhs_m1a1aim_wd" (for woodland camo variant) and "rhs_m1a1aim" (for desert camo variant). For USMC it will be "rhs_usmc_m1a1aim_wd" and "rhs_usmc_m1a1aim". And so on.

As for Russian side, it can be: "rhs_bmp2d_msv" and "rhs_bmp2d_msv_camo", "rhs_mi24p_vvs" and "rhs_mi24p_vvs_camo", "rhs_mi24v_vdv". Btw, some of US units and all of Russian in your mod already use such scheme, I just propose to take as a standard.

I have seen the above issue many times. It's not specifically RHS, it happens on other vehicles not in the mod.

It seems to have started after BI fixed the issue with physX causing vehicle to sink into the ground.
