eggbeast 3684 Posted January 25, 2016 The team has recently expanded to take on Skelig (who worked on the WW1 mod among other things) and who is proving himself extremely valuable in the weapons porting team (with me, spock and von knudenberg), and NZDFCrash who is helping with a variety of stuff like our unbinned O1 bird-dog and OH6 Cayuse, the artillery, and a NZ faction. We're still looking for more people to help speed things up. Likely release candidates are: This may vary so don't mortgage your house to bet on the outcome! These are plans we have been talking about. ALPHA - first release - contains weapons, units, Da Krong map, jeep and truck. - mission-makers PLEASE NOTE The alpha classnames will be changed when we move on from alpha! eggbeast 3684 Posted January 26, 2016 re map porting - we are working with binarized maps, so they need extracting and recreating - tedious, labour intensive work - we need a couple of guys who are prepared to learn, stick at the job, and work together to port 1 map in maybe a 3 month period. then they can have the pleasure of adding to those maps forA3. andthey will win a place in the teams heart lol. re Da Krong changes - mostly little fixes as the map is already perfect. examples are: - enable boats to pass unharmed under bridges - DONE - add southern gate to the Camp Sarge - DONE - widen northern gate to Camp Sarge to allow an M113 to pass inside - DONE - etc etc Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

eggbeast 3684 Posted January 26, 2016 yeah that's a generic engine thing i think. we all see that even with ultra settings. we're also all finding ultra settings are better performance-wise than the lower settings. if you have a bit of lag, turn the settings HIGHER - to force the GPU to get involved! and less on the CPU. or so it seems. pierremgi 4889 Posted January 26, 2016 I play sometimes on a laptop and i remarked the (2) last drivers for NVidia (GTX860M) induce bad rendering with Unsung units equipment (black triangles or lines) at certain distances (mode utra or else). This seems not linked to the map but the units. The only way to correct that was to turn shadows off or downgrade the graphic driver (to 358.91 if I remember, I don't have the laptop at this time).
